Works well and very well made, if a little large, can sometimes be awkward to stow away. Coupled with the controller it's battery has lasted me all day.

Battery works well and gives an extended period of warmth. Clearly riunning a vest on full power drains the battery quickly but it gives an extended period on lower settings. a good product if a little costly.

This is a very high quality battery. My journeys are typically 2-3 hours and it seems to cope with that with much left to spare, powering a Keis vest. I find I never need the vest on higher than the middle setting (apart from once on a 6 hour ride from Düsseldorf when it was -6) or it would be too hot. Planning to buy some Keis gloves next winter so the extra capacity should work well. Will let you know. Again SBS staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and the battery was in stock.

no sense in arriving at your destination toasty warm then freezing to death when you get there. i find low setting plenty warm enough, I have used it on the bike at -3c for an hour at motorway speeds and its plenty. low gives me about 10 hours on this battery and another 5 from my 2600 mAh battery. makes heavy jumpers unnecessary and lets you move a lot more freely. and as a bonus you can charge your phone from it too.

I baught this to power a Keis waist coat, it lasts for at least 3.5 hours, I'm very pleased. SBS had the best price I could find and the delivery was super fast.

Bought a Keis gilet a while ago and thought this would be a great way to use the heated vest and to sit outside (pub) to enjoy a few beers. Low setting lasted for hours and kept me nice and toasty warm.

Nice option to have if bike power not available

The Keis kit is sold as 'dual' power, so capable of being supplied by 12v bike battery onboard or by portable battery. The portable battery is great if you jump from bike to bike or have a classic scooter with no DC output. The down points - its a little on the expensive side, only last around 2 hours when used with vest and gloves, and the 5200amp version doesn't fit in the inside battery pocket in the Keis vest. Also takes quite a long time to charge (around 4 hours), so we have found on a practical level you really need around 3 batteries. That said, the Keis system is still a great kit to have and we wouldn't be without it.
