Superb bit of kit

As a blood biker, I need to have a reliable and good quality bluetooth headset. This is certainly a great upgrade from the cheaper Chinese generic one I had been using for a while. Really easy to fit, easy to connect and simple to use. Sound quality is good - not the best - but certainly good enough for my needs and the unit is definitely more comfortable Would highly recommend. Also, excellent service from Sportsbikeshop - as always!

Sena 10u-pad is probably the best you can get without a huge price tag.
Connects to phone first time and every time. Love listening to music when out for a ride.

I used to use one of the cheap (though really good value intercoms) but they were very uncomfortable. So i decided to buy these, knowing that as an intercom I probably wouldn't see any benefit but from a comfort point of view I should. Result is its exactly that - more comfortable and bearable. Though there is still some discomfort as the cheek pads are hard as they obviously house an intercom. Overall though, I got what I expected. Very neat design.

The sound quality is good not great. The features are very good and meet all my needs.I just wish the unit would fit into the helmet better as currently I cannot get all three attachment pegs to attach.

I expected a Sena product to be really good but I'm a bit disappointed, its no better than the £40 headset I was using before, its just neater.
it takes what I think is a long long to connect to my tomtom when turned on, sometimes a couple of minutes.
the sound is a bit "flat" and difficult to hear with wind noise, perhaps because the speakers aren't in the optimum position for me.
however the speaker position is not adjustable.
the cheekpads don't fit in the helmet all that well, the plastic side pieces that go between the shell and the liner are not the same shape as the originals, maybe they will bed in but I have to push them back in now and then.
the instructions are poor, even the downloadable detailed instructions miss out a lot.
all in all its ok but I expected better.

Ideal and not obvious

I bought this after searching the internet and YouTube for Bluetooth comms. This fits perfectly into my new HJC helmet. The sound quality is very good and so is the volume. The controls are simple once the instructions aare read properly. Definitely recommend.

Great alternative intercom and more

If you have an HJC IS max 2 then this intercom fits like e glove. Just replace the cheek pads and voila its done. Easy to use, integral to helmet and not visible, it provides great sound and accessibility while still being a quality Sena product. Available for a few other helmet types and personally recommended

This product came well packed and once opened looked really nice well made and easy to set up one I fitted the product into my helmet it fitted like a glove and nice feeling when I tried it on. I read the instructions got the 10u-pad set-up very fast its works lime a charm

The Sena 10U-PAD has an integrated unibody design, the 10U-PAD can be installed into your helmet with ease, creating an integrated HJC IS-MAX2 headset. Simply snap in the right and left cheek pads and you're ready to ride. The tri-button control is located at the lower part of the left cheek pad for easy access while riding. No longer will speakers and a microphone have to be installed into the helmet, simply place the cheek pads inside of your helmet and you're good to go.
The Sena 10U-PAD offers all of the functionality of a Sena Bluetooth headset but is completely invisible from the outside of the helmet. Im thinking of buying the 10Upad Motorcycle Bluetooth Communication Cheek Pad System for HJC IS-MAX2, is this a one size fits all system? I ask as my HJC IS-MAX2 is a medium and dont want to buy the wrong size. Thanks
