SENA 10U V2 Bluetooth Headset & Intercom - Arai full face helmets

The fittings instructions are poor and there is no video specific to Arai I could find. I managed to fit it but it took me longer than it should and I struggled to get all the padding back in correctly. The intercom itself works really well and once fitted you can tell it's there.

This is sold as a full face Intercom for Arai but despite that the directions that come with it are spartan. I had the refer to YouTube to get a hint how to fit it to a new tour 4X. Once fitted the controls are confusing but it does work and sound good with little discomfort.
This model comes with a remote control that fits on the handle bar but that has just added another 4 buttons to the 13 that are already on my africatwin

It is an excellent piece of kit, all fits well and works well. Its also an expensive piece of kit so some decent instructions would be good, especially ones that don't tell you to remove the neck roll when most can't be removed and would destroy your helmet.
It does a lot with very few buttons which is good but the other side of this is it is massively over complicated so you have to memorise how to do things which can be very frustrating.

If the balance between the speakers seem out you need to adjust the position of the quiet one as there is no balance adjustment.

Be careful where you put the mic, straight ahead of your mouth is the best position but it will still work off to the side if there isn't space.

The remote is useful but ergonomically a bad design. It will interfere with either your passing light switch, your horn switch or your clutch lever. Just choose the best compromise you can. Gets even worse if you use muffs.

Sound is good, even the FM radio is reasonable so even with its problems I'm still glad to have bought it.

This piece of kit is brilliant, nice and covert and it all fits nicely inside the lid with no ugly thing attached to the side of the helmet. The sound is very clear and loud and the speakers don't stick out and hurt your ears.
Fitting it was a bit of a faff but it was worth it because the end product is excellent. Within the box is the remote control wich can be fitted to your handlebars. The button combination can be complicated but the Sena app for your phone is helpful.
I recommend this product if you want a covert intercom system that is loud and comfortable.

Within the description there's a warning to advise that this intercom does not fit inside a small helmet.. I can confirm that this information is incorrect. I fitted this to my Arai Rapide helmet size small.

Having read the varying comments regarding wether this would work in an Arai Tour X4 I decided to take the plunge. Whilst the plastic loops cannot be utilised in the Tour X4 the Sena unit fits nicely into the gap above the neck collar and only requires a couple of bits of the enclosed Velcro tape to keep it in place. Careful routing of the cables means they are out of the way and stay put when fitting and removing the helmet. Sound Quality is good for communications and everything works as expected.

Bought this for my new Arai Chaser and it fits very neatly into the helmet without big bits of plastic sticking out of the sides. The instructions are rubbish so Youtube is a Godsend. The sound is great and the supplied remote saves all the fumbling with buttons on the helmet that you can't see anyway. Very happy bunny!

The fitting instructions are a little lacking (in part due to the lack of specific helmet to fit), I only fitted it correctly after a bit of YouTube searching.
Once fitted the headset is very neat and low profile.
In my helmet (Arai Renagade) the speakers are mounted directly behind polystyrene cheek pads which dramatically reduced the volume. (I remedied this with a few toothpick holes).
All other features work well and as advertised.

Fitted to an Arai profile v and whilst I couldn't use the loop supplied, the Velcro fitted it fine. Discreet and good quslity sound.

Got this coms unit for my Klim adventure helmet. It fits great and easy to install and easy to pair with remote and phone I will say the manual is not clear so some tech knowledge will be a help that said it works well and am pleased with the sound

No idea about battery life as yet but overall experience as usual 5*
Instructions that came with it are rubbish. Ya need to combine the instructions with a YouTube video that you can find online for the incidental little tricks and tips. One completed. All good. Sound quality excellent and the only bit that's external is a small +_button that's rendered useless with the remote. All in. A great bit of kit.

Bought this for my Arai Rapide Neo. Fits great and only thing visible once fitted is the controls on the side of the helmet. 4 stars only because SENA app seems like from the last century, installation instructions are not very clear and battery life is not great.

A little fiddly to initially setup, refused on several attempts to sync with my SatNav but got there in the end (just kept repeating the process).

The Sportsbikeshop website states that this does not fit the Arai S & XS helmets which is not corroborated by Arai. I bought this for my small Tour X4 and it fits fine. The only part that doesn't fit well is the antennae which has too short a wire making it hard to place as instructed. Anyhow, I almost didn't purchase this due to Sportsbikeshops comments but happy I did more research about fit. The comment is misleading & should be removed or made more specific. I will comment on the use once I get a chance to use it.
