As this is my first intercom I've nothing to compare with it. However, I found it easy to fit and set up, you do really need to use the remote as accessing the helmet controls involves flipping up the visor - a rechargeable remote would have been nice rather than coin batteries.
Previously I have used Interphone but I bought a new Shoei GT air so thought the enclosed comms unit would be better and at over £220 I expected great things.

Poor sound, battery life bad, the only plus side is the actually fit to the helmet.
If interphone built it it would be excellent, 5 days battery instead of 1!, sound would be better, pairing would be better
Sena, not impressed. Save yourself money and buy an interphone unit.
Fits into the helmet well with care.

Once paired up and connected to everything, it's a great bit of kit.

Good product with good performance., but I am not so happy with handling..It is to complicating.controlling from headset....and remote control is not so easy for use speccially in winter time with gloves.
We can find on market pair of headset triple cheaper.with almost the same performance...with only different is installed from outside of the helmet
High quality product but a bit of a pain to install. Having read the instructions and given up, I found a video on YouTube that was brilliant showing how to fit it. Listened to a lot of music with it which is great, especially with the remote on the handlebars. The radio reception is a bit weak, call quality good at both ends on the one call I tried.
Bought this as an upgrade from the SMH5. The design is great so it doesn't spoil to look or the aerodynamics of the lid.
Sound quality is good. I'm not looking for deep bass and crisp vocals but you can hear music/voice well even with earplugs in and I also had the foam covers on the speakers.
Fits into the lid really easily and slides and clips in perfectly.
Very easy to install and very easy to use with the handlebar remote. I use it with the BMW Nav 6, which allows me to connect my phone and music and still receive the nav instructions.
I had been trying get hold of the 10U for my Shoei GT Air for ageesss. After purchasing the first version, it was never delivered after being discontinued!
Was very happy to see the version 2 had been released and bought it straight away! Fits perfectly in to the helmet, no one notices it's there, and the intercom is clear as day! The handlebar control is brilliant and fits perfectly on to your left/clutch handlebar. Couldn't recommend Sena more, you absolutely get what you pay for but I definitely think it is worth the money!
A great piece of kit that is easy to install and use. Battery life is about 10 or so hours depending on how you use it.

January 8, 2019After speaking to the UK importer for Sena, we can confirm that the 10U will fit the small - 2XL helmet sizes. It will not fit the XS.
What is the difference between the Sena 10U & 10U V2???
November 22, 2018The Sena 10U V2 is provided with the new, updated handlebar remote. The intercom systems are the same.
Will this pair & communicate with the AGV Easyshare Intercom system?
September 17, 2018We are fairly certain that these will not pair together, as the AGV intercom does not have the Universal intercom pairing function.
