Bought to use in conjunction with a ground anchor for securing my bike at home, very strong despite not being the biggest chain on the market. Very loud alarm when set off but isn't overly sensitive so it doesn't go off whilst you're trying to lock the bike up. Definitely recommend.

Perfect for Touring

This is a great chain for when you are touring, It's really lightweight and the alarm is impressively loud. Not the strongest chain but certainly a visible and audible deterrent

Exactly what I needed

I've got plenty of big chunky chains but I was looking for something a bit more portable. This chain (1.2 meter version) fits in my storage under the passenger seat of my CBR954RR. The links aren't the thickest but the deafening alarm makes up for this.

In truth I haven't used this yet, but it's so wonderfully light for a chain. ok it's still a chain, it's got some weight but in comparison to most it's perfect.

It's ok, lightweight, loud alarm system.
I think that even the long version, is still a bit too short.
The plastic lock cover get scratched easily compare to other products (e.i. Oxford locks).
Overall is ok but could be improved.

Excellent bit of kit

Bought this chain for a 1500 mile tour of Scotland. The chain is light and when in its bag is small enough to fit in a pannier or top box. The chain can be used without the alarm if required. Recommended as a lightweight chain for touring.

Bought the chain on the basis of test reviews in Ride magazine. I did not inser the battery As the required grinder would make enough noise.
This is an excellent product which comes in a quality sheath & carrier bag (essential for keeping contents of my top box uncontaminated by the inevitably dirty chain).

The alarm itself is very good--loud & abusive. It goes off on being disturbed, gives a small warning first then is ear splitting. Setup battery wise is a bit finicky & no method to recharge it, will need to buy a new battery or recharger. All in all pleased & feeling more secure.
