Arai VAS Type Max Vision ProtecTINT Pinlock Insert - RX-7 V / QV / QV Pro / Chaser X / Renegade

I've used the reactive pinlock visors in my Arai helmets for years. Very useful in all conditions - cold & wet it prevents fogging, sunny it turns dark enough to prevent glare.
Just insert and forget about it - simple solution though rather high initial cost.

Very useful - not only does it stop the visor fogging but acts as a sunshade. Its a real fit and forget product - useful in all conditions. Doesn't go absoultely dark unless the sun is right on it, but its dark enough. Yes, its stupidly expensive for what seems like a little bit of plastic, but its worth it! I have one on all my helmets.

Quality product, fits the Arai visor perfectly.
The tint change is very quick from clear to smoke and back to clear, it certainly take the edge off the sun dazzle.

Quality item. Very easy to fit and works really well. Doesn't go completely dark but certainly enough to take the glare off bright sunlight. It's anti fog properties are, just like the standard pinlock, perfect.

Although it's not the darkest tint, it works really well in the sun and is adequate to stop glare. Transitions quickly as well and was really easy to fit.

It's a bit expensive for what it is, as it's only marginally cheaper than buying a tinted visor. However it's so much more convenient not having to worry about getting caught out in the dark. Will be a permanent fixture on my winter lid.

Bought this to use with a clear visor on my RX-7V - better than getting caught out with a dark visor as night approaches. Very impressed so far - works well and stops fogging up the visor, reaction time is reasonable too.

Tested it out yesterday in the low sun. I was contemplating between this and the dark visor in the morning yesterday. Well, the sun finally came out in the afternoon which was lovely but this visor was not totally useless. I looked directly at the sun and with the visor on and there was definitely a difference but I still should have chosen the dark visor.

I had read about these and thought I would give it a try, really pleased with it. It reacts quicker than I thought it would and doesn't impare vision in any way. Needless to say it arrived on time, early in fact it was very well packed in typical SportsBikeShop style.

Well it does exactly what it says on the tin! I had to wait for some proper sunshine to leave this review...it's chucked it down since it arrived 2 weeks ago!
It works, and with my super-sensitive eyes it's just what I need without the hassle of sunglasses! Thank you SBS as usual, brilliant service and regular communication.

I have this on my Arai RX-7v as I didn't want to put their PSS shade pro on my track helmet- this is also a great solution to sun in the eyes , cheaper too

Yet to test it in a sunny summer day but at the moment works nicely, tint is small but it is November

Good product delivered very promptly as always by Sportsbikeshop. Makes riding in bright conditions more pleasurable. It also saves faffing with two visors when riding in twilight

Used on for years on a hjc. Could do with a little more filter but very useful on a race type lid. In fact the only option for glasses wearers. Would always get one as it's a life saver in the sun when it's around.
