This is a really lightweight down jacket that you wear underneath your outer jacket, or on it's own.
It feels very high quality and the style is understated with some nice subtle design touches. It feels very warm against your skin and I can tell already that it's streets ahead of the quilted liner that came as standard in all my jackets (I have several - all Rev'it)
I am 5'10", 12st and a size M fits me perfectly. I have long arms and there's enough length there without them sticking out beyond my jacket sleeves. I tried wearing a Rab light quilted jacket for this purpose but it was too slim fit and the zip kept popping at the bottom when I'm riding - this is much better.
Overall, very pleased.

Nice little jacket

Acts as a thermal layer esp on laminated jackets but can also be worn on a night out by itself it is smart looking. Fit is not loose but not tight either. Lots of pockets two massive ones on the inside plus two smaller out side and a breast pocket.It is warmer with it on in 3°C n above colder may mean another layer thermal.
I like it bit steep in price but that's motorcycling.

Very slim flit, warm jacket which can be worn on or off the bike. Super lightweight, so easy to pack when not needed. I'm 6"2 (188cm) of slim/average built and purchased a size L. It fits me like a glove.

Lightweight and warm

When I first put it on, I noticed how cozy it was. But what I really liked, was the shiny outer surface - which meant the sleeves of my outer jackets (leather and fabric) slid on easily. Also, I needed a 2XL size as opposed to my normal XL.

I needed a decent midlayer to combat the freezing conditions during my daily 45 mile commute. I was reluctant to spend this much money at first, but having tried other cheaper products, decided to take the plunge.
This jacket is perfect for my requirements as it is thin enough to fit comfortably under my textile jacket with a baselayer and a windstopper jacket. It's deceptively warm and looks good off the bike too. I'm 6'2 of average build and chose a size M. It's a snug fit but the arms are the right length, maybe a tiny bit short at the waist

The Solar 2 is one of those functional mid-layer jackets that you will just want to wear all the time, between late fall to early spring. Since it is so lightweight, you'll hardly notice you're wearing it. However, it has been engineered to be used as an insulating mid-layer with features and characteristics you'll be looking for as an experienced rider. It is feather-light, easily packable and can be stowed away in a backpack or in the back pocket of your jacket. Furthermore, it's incredibly warm due to the PrimaLoft Gold insulation technology. On top of that, it is water-repellent, so when wearing it casually, it will hold a light shower, too.
