Warm weather riding

Bought this hoodie for warmer weather, it's definitely cooler when I'm out and still benefits from elbow, shoulder and back pads, it looks good too!

Looks Smart, Feels Good
16 April 2021 by My J
Very comfortable and very light to wear and looks smart with a big strong zip. Will probably upgrade the back armour at some point. Currently wearing it with my air bag vest too.

Good finish and very comfortable
11 March 2021 by Ayman
Excellent hoodie, it's surprisingly heavy which is very comforting when you realise it's because of all the CE armour. Proper Lining on the inside, and armour that fits well and stays where you want it to be. Very happy with this and would highly recommend

Just what i have been looking for!
10 March 2021 by 1200 t
I had been looking into summer jackets and lighter/airy clothing for summer and came across this richa hoodie.
Seems very well made with a good finish on all the stitching etc.
It fits really well and the shoulder and elbow protection is a bonus without getting in the way, not actually used in summer yet but i have no doubt it will stop me over heating.
SBS service is top class as usual.

So far so good.
31 January 2021 by Seweryn S
Initial impressions are that it is good quality and well worth the price. Fits nicely and is comfortable, only used a few times since buying. Can withstand winter weather if you wear layers underneath and maybe even over, if its really windy. Really good product so far.

Really pleased with the quality

Really good quality product. Nice to wear something a bit more chilled on the bike, instead of the full biking jacket, and still know that you're going to be safe in the event of an "off".

Amazing
03 June 2020 by Lisa H
OMG I really can't tell you how fab this hoodie is.
Always worn leather but wanted a bit more freedom and something lighter for summer, I'm overwhelmed with this product.
So comfy, great protection and great to wear, only thing to consider is the hoodie isn't warm when you wear it on a cooler morning ride, but I don't care cuz I love it. Thank you!

the Richa Titan hoodie verses the Merlin Aramid
27 June 2019 by Paul
So I bought both the Richa Titan hoodie and Merlin Aramid hoodie to compare simaler priced items. Both the large fits fitted me and I am medium build and both seemed to be if the same weight. The Merlin hoodie has the same Colton feel as the Richa but is water resistant. Furthermore the Aramid protection feels substantial covering all the jacket unlike the Richa that is woven in. And does not feel so substantial and he's to tell Certainly if I was in a spill at low speeds then I would be more confident in the Merlin. The Merlin also offers a small loop to connect to jeans which I like although unlike the Richa the pockets on the front are not zipped. The Richa has the upgraded c30 protection ( although not in he back ) but you could upgrade these and well the Merlin was ok . The Richa has a detachable hood which allows for a collar which I like. The pockets on the Merlin fo not go all the way down the front and as they are unzipped which is really not that useful in my opinion apart from using them to put your hands in . them to put your hands in.
I did not try either of these goodies out on the road but reading up on them the Merlin has slightly better wind resistant ( see you tube ) the pockets on the inside seemed better on the Richa although the jacket does come up a bit short ( Not they I really felt they was a deal breaker and I am 6ft .
In conclusion the Merlin just edges it for me , it round be nice if he pockets were better with zips and it had a detachable collar, but it's water resistant and the total Aramid coverage won it for me over the Richa. The detailing on the Richa appeared better , slightly better zips, I liked the logo at the back and C30 protection was very swish but in the end if I had a spill at low speed then its the Merlin god me. Clearly these hackers are not for more spirited riding more like a trip to town at 30 -40 mls per hour . Certainly an fast A road or motorway would be thought provoking in trend if a spill and feeling protected
Hope this has been useful

Lovely product really feels quality!
16 June 2019 by Alex M
Lovely jacket / hoodie I know it's not gunna offer the same protection as a full leather suit but it's so quick, easy and comfortable to put on you will wear it on every short ride! Was getting into a bad habit of wearing no protective clothing when just going around the corner for a short ride but now I just put this on.

Love it

Love my new hoodie it's really light but fits well.
For all the bigger ladies out there I'm a 22-24 and the 6XL fits with room :)
The only thing is I can categorically confirm it isn't even a little waterproof after getting caught in a shower :D

Excellent riding hoodie
02 June 2019 by James M
I'm a big fan of motorcycle gear from Richa, I already own jeans, a winter jacket and two pairs of gloves from this brand, so they were high on my list when I wanted a summer/casual jacket. The closest rivals to the Titan IMO are the Oxford super hoodie and the Booster core hoodie. Both are priced similarly, however what drew me to the Titan was the 5-point D3O armour - a great feature at this price point.
The Titan looks good in black and the branding is quite subtle. The hood is pretty pointless unless you plan to wear the jacket off the bike a lot, but it's a simple zip-off affair.
The jacket feels reassuringly heavy when you first put it on, but it's extremely comfortable and allows for a lot of freedom of movement on and off the bike. It allows plenty of airflow in warmer temperatures and keeps you adequately warm when the mercury drops some - however this is very much a summer option, unless you use plenty of layers. The collar does stop a lot of draughts though, which my winter jacket fails at, in comparison.
I got caught in a few rain showers and it kept me dry - it's water resistant, rather than fully waterproof, which you would expect.
The 5-point armour is very reassuring to have (the back protector can be swapped out for a higher level item). It is Aramid/Kevlar lined, however bear in mind this is a casual jacket, so I'm not sure how it would fare in a 70mph slide, as another reviewer mentioned.
Two zipped external pockets and one internal are useful and practical.
Overall I'm very happy with the Titan and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a casual biking jacket. Superb service from SBS - what an excellent company.

Great Summer Riding Hoodie
18 May 2019 by Karl
Richa have delivered a fantastic riding hoodie.
The value for money is brilliant and given that it includes back, shoulder and elbow armour is even better. I wear this on my daily commute which is about 2 miles each way. On the mornings you can feel the wind chill, however it is not uncomfortable, and is more than compensated riding home in the afternoon sun.

My only grumble is it is a little bit short in the body than I would like, but this is a personal preference only.

Fantastic riding hoodie from Richa
01 May 2018 by Jerome
Richa have my top pick for riding hoodie. Value for money this is the best bang for your buck in the market right now. The nearest competitor for value is Oxford's Super Hoodie. The Richa Titan Hoodie however, offers Aramid backing same as oxford but Richa throw in a whole suite of D3O armour, making the hoodie more flexible, lower profile and arguably safer with the addition of a back protector. The Hoodie offers a great casual look for round town biking. It is also great as a summer option as it flows a tonne of air. I wouldn't recommend hitting the motorway with this hoodie though as I'm definitely not convinced this has the abrasion resistance for a 70+mph slide.
The Richa Logo flash on the left of the is fine, but the large logo on the lower back could put you off if you want a more subtle look. although I don't mind it and it is a more subtle looking hoodie than most of the competitors. I feel the removable hood is a bit of a gimmick but at least if you don't want the hoodie look you have the option of a fleece style hoodie.

Fitment is spot on round the chest, although it is a little short. I'm 5'10 with a 44 inch chest, and the XL is just about long enough, anyone taller would definitely want to size up.
