Great quality as usual from Kriega, easy to fit to my 690 Enduro, leaves plenty of space around rear filler cap. Great option if you want to keep the weight off, no frame, easy to take on and off. Easy to adjust to get a good fit, very well made. Will fit other bikes simply by purchasing extra rack loops.

Fits to my KTM EXC300 really well (after a bit of experimentation) - nice and stable when the straps are tightened.
I'm carrying Kriega OS-6 bags and they are nice and secure off-road. Better for carrying tools than a tail pack, as the weight is much further forward.
Can easily fit bigger bags for longer trips.
Easy to remove for bike cleaning and maintenance.
Only drawback - the lower straps were only just short enough to fit on my bike. I have them hooked up on the last available setting - phew!

Good fit and quality

I have fitted to a KTM 390 Adventure, I required and addition strap to connect round the pickup handles which I took off a tail bag I no longer use. Fits well and feels very sturdy.

Purchased this for my DRZ400, fitment was not as straight forward as I had hoped, I ended up having to fab up a bracket for the non exhaust side. Could do with a way of taking up the slack in the frame mounting straps too. All in all it does its job for a 'universal' option & is standing up to some tough trail riding, just be prepared to get a bit creative with fitting depending on your bike.

Innovative and quality piece of kit

I'm a bit of a Kriega fanatic, so it was no surprise that this is also a very well made and well thought out piece of kit. I am currently using it on my rather old Yamaha XT600, so the seat is much wider than your average off-road of the modern day. So it does not quite sit as neatly on the pillion seat as it might on a Husky, for example, but it still works well. The slots for luggage straps offer flexible solutions -- I have US 10 and US20 bags and they can be attached without any problem, though I bought a few looped webbing straps to ensure that the US10 sits perfectly. The whole assembly can be attached and removed in moments and the base is balanced such that it is just as comfortable on one's shoulder as it is stable on the bike. The holes for the hypolon loops that take the upper straps must be drilled precisely: 6mm is bang on, perfect fit for the bolts and no play. I found that drilling 2mm pilot holes helped with getting the holes exactly right. Finally, as with any Kriega item, there's any number of options for strapping additional bits and bobs to this base, giving a very flexible and stable luggage system for off-roading.

I use this on my KTM 690 enduro R , quick and easy to put on and take off , I already had US 10 and US20 bags which I use with the OS base , it works well for me.

Good quality and fits on a Honda 250 Rally

I love Kriega gear - have a couple of the US bags and they have served me well for 5 years. So selected the Kriega OS-Base and 2 OS-18 bags for my Honda CRF250 Rally. Quality is up to the usual Kriega standard - after the apocalypse only the cockroaches, rats and Kriega bags will survive...
But - fitting the OS-Base was quite a faff - lots of trial and error to find the best anchor points on the bike. Got there in the end and it looks secure with the bags mounted. Some instructions/ suggestions from Kriega would be helpful - I used YouTube - and guess that since this is a universal frameless system each bike fitting will be different. I took 1 star off for the fitting hassle, but now the bike is ready for some adventure offroad. So despite some fitting hassle, recommended!
