Bright lights if they work that is.
22 August 2022 by David C
First pair of lights I got where good for 9 months then one of them developed a fault of not staying on sent them back for a replacement bearing in mind I had to take the whole system out not just the 1 light that didn't work. Waited 2 months with no contact from anyone to tell me what was going on had to phone spotsbikeshop to be told light isn't fixable so would send a new set. Got new set and both lights don't work so got my money back. All in all wont touch denali lights again even after a refund I have still waisted a lot of money on these.

Denali d2 lights
26 July 2022 by Shaun F
I fitted the denali lights to mt10 as std lights are very poor, the difference is literally night and day, should have done this years ago. Quality is very good, would really recommend the d2 lights. Very quick delivery, 5 star service

Great additional lighting
11 January 2022 by Nigel
I ride a lot of country roads and wanted extra lighting for my adventure bike. These are great. I use a flood near side and a spot off side and they are excellent. It was difficult getting a bar fitting kit that fitted my engine bars. Took two separate attempts on line through Denali.

Bright and well engineered
09 December 2021 by Rob C
Effective and compact aux lights. Light output is sufficient for road use, possibly not for off-road riders though. Do be mindful though that you will need other items to install these;

If you're happy with just a manual on-off switch operation, you'll just need some mounts (the Denali ones are expensive and actually a bit flawed - others may be better)

If you want dimmable lights (i.e. low intensity on dipped beam, high intensity on full beam) you need the DataDim module. This needs a clean 12v signal to switch; if you've got halogen main beam you should be fine, if you've got LEDs it can be trickier (I got a clean signal off the high beam switch but check the voltage). Alternatively, you can get a 3 position switch (Hi-Lo-Off) but it's fiddly and yet more expense.

Last thing; the kit includes "PosiTap" connectors. While these are probably "adequate", it is much better to properly splice and solder into the wires as I have my doubts a PosiTap will hold true long term on a motorcycle due to the vibrations. Plus, the signal wire comes off at 90 degrees to the tapped wire so if there's a sheath to the loom it's difficult to deal with.

Best summed up as "plug and play" in theory, but if you want to do it properly it will need a multimeter, soldering iron etc. and allow a good 4 hours or so (depending on how much fairing you have to take off!)

Great product.

Added to my bike to be used as DRL and as I needed more illumination for night driving in country roads. They do that.

Good quality product, easy plug and play wiring.

The "trioptic" part is achieved by changing the lenses in one light (with one of two supplied lenses). This gives the appearance of slightly different brightness's when looking at the lights.

With the supplied (standard) kit there is an on-off switch. the lights are on full or off.

The DENALI DataDim™ Dual-Intensity Controller (another £40) is designed to switch to high intensity when you turn on your headlight or use your headlight pass (flash) switch. Note this does not work on bikes with LED headlights or canbus controlled lights, as 12 volts is required to switch the relay.

A wire is supplied to break into the hot (12 volt) headlight wire with a positap. This means that when the switch is on (low intensity) and you turn your headlight on the LEDs' switch to high intensity.

The Denali solution for bikes with LED headlights is to upgrade again to the DENALI 2.0 DrySeal HI-LOW-OFF Waterproof Switch (another £28). Note here though that the pass wire is removed and you no longer have that option, but why would you need it! With gloves on the switch is difficult to operate and could not be used at night to quickly change from high intensity to low for oncoming traffic.

Denali do have CanSmart Controllers for KTM and BMW at £180+.

In short great lights, but be aware of the add ons

Easy installation, quality product.

I purchased the larger version of these first by accident, they were HUGE! Luckily sportsbikeshop sorted it as usual! These are a perfect size & tuck nicely in the crash bars of my vstrom, I fitted directly to a aux fuse box inc the trigger wire which made install simple. They have plenty of light to be seen as drl's, yet to try at night but I imagine they will be spot on. Great quality pods & loom. Recommended.

Gold wing Glow
29 July 2020 by P
Fitted to my gold wing in the engine pods. I used the data dim controller. Both to flood with low power as DRLs and high beam as infill for wings LEDs. Relatively easy to fit so long as you buy the correct mounts albeit stripping down the wing isn't a 5 minute job but worth the pain. SBS were super helpful allowing me to swap lights as I originally bought the wrong ones.

Lighting the way...

Right out of the box you can see these lights are quality with lots of thought going into the making of this product.
Installing them is simple too...just find a fitting kit that suits your bike, connect to power and you're away - even the optional mounting and switch kits are excellent quality.
The switch is illuminated making it easy to find on the bars at night.
I have used the fender mounting kit to increase my daytime visibility, the compact size of these lights means they don't look over-the-top, don't let the size fool you though as they still through out plenty of light.
Thank you Denali & SBS

The best LED lights for a bike.
23 March 2020 by Chris W
I bought these lights along with the DataDim module and 3 way switch to mount to my Scrambler. The idea was to use them with the amber lens kit - the offside set to Spot and the near side set to Flood. On low power they function as always-on position lights. Being low mounted on the engine bars they create a very noticeable profile head on. On high power they work well as fog lights, the spot illuminating the road ahead and the flood illuminating the verge. I've used auxiliary lights on my Land Rover for 30 years with brands like Warn that cost £600 a pair and the quality of these is second to none. Easy to fit the lens kit with a choice of flood or spot, installation was incredibly easy even breaking into the wiring loom. Can't recommend them enough and certainly worth the money.

Very well designed and made product that arrived with good clear instructions and was simple to fit to the bike myself. The lights have made a huge difference to the visibility of my bike to other road users.
