Verified Customer Reviews for LS2 Linkin Ride Pal III
Overall, customers found the Bluetooth headset for the LS2 Valiant helmet easy to install and praised the sound quality. They appreciated its discreet integration and functionality, particularly for music and navigational purposes. However, many customers noted that the controls were difficult to operate with gloves on. Connectivity issues were mentioned but resolved efficiently by Sportsbikeshop. Despite minor design flaws, such as fiddly buttons and absence of clear instructions, most customers were satisfied with their purchase.
Bought this to go with my new LS2 helmet…great idea but oh so badly designed. Almost impossible to use any of the buttons(even with summer gloves on!) other than the + lowest on the chin strap. Keeps telling me that intercom has failed try again, which is a pain with an iphone as using siri to make hands free calls would be great. Still using it for directions & back ground music works although speakers do sound very tinny with a real lack of bass.
After purchasing a new LS2 Valiant helmet, I didn't really want to put my Sena 10C onto it as it was quite bulky, this comms kit is small and unseen from outside, it links perfectly with the husbands Sena Headset and super easy to link to my phone, great price and next day delivery. I have to say that all my Sena Headsets gave been fabulous and I have been impressed by all of them
A struggle to hit the buttons with winter or summer gloves
Which is a shame
Will work with it though
Value for money
A handle bar or side option would help
Sound quality great, Fiddley to fit awkward to use the buttons on the move with gloves on. But as usual 1st class device from Sportsbikeshop.
I bought this to go with my Valiant helmet. It is a good idea in principle but the execution is a bit problematic. First of all, the videos on Youtube are out of date as LS2 have modified the Valiant - it is now a Valiant 2 and the lining is fitted a different way. I managed eventually to fit the system with a lot of help from the other half. Once in it looks very discrete, no great lump on the side of the helmet BUT using the buttons on the move in winter gloves is almost impossible so you need to stop to make changes if needed. However, sound quality is crystal clear and once on the move my music sound great. It is of course a Sena unit so it will link to other Senna headsets for pillion or group riding purposes.
Great and easy to fit in the hemet (LS2 Valliant)
Battery lasts forever (good few days) and I have been using it since I bought it.
A bit fiddly controls, so need to get used to them, especially with your gloves on
Great service from SBS
Good product, but helmet compatibility needs to be clearer. In the Q&A it was suggested it was suitable for my LS2 Strobe helmet, I have fitted but there is no button fastenings on my helmet so the straps are not fixed and can slip down. Also no installation instructions, so had to follow a u-tube video and adapt accordingly.
This is my third, ride pal. I've had versions I, II and now III.
Both previous versions got detached wiring. The first a wire came off the speaker, the second a wire pulled out of the charge port.
The latest version no longer has the charge port on a curly wire. Far better, installs into an LS2 helmet without drama. The aerial is now just a plastic rod, where previously it was a sliver of carbon that fitted easily between the shell and liner. There is no info on where the aerial is best placed, the recess in my LS2 to house the ride pal is now redundant.
Otherwise I haven't tried to link to others, I only use it for satnav, phone and radio. I like it but am driven by having an LS2 lid.
I have several other helmets with the Sena system fitted and this has the same great performance as the others but at a lower price and with a bespoke set up for the LS2. I fitted it to the Valiant helmet for my son and fitting was easy. The main control unit fits into a bespoke sleeve over the strap on one side and the battery fits into a pouch on the other strap. This works fine and is much better than the cheek pad system on the HJC that gets in the way when trying to pull the helmet over your head. Pairs properly with all my mates, including with the Nolan system. Highly recommended.
Really easy to fit to helmet and pairs with phone straight away. Only thing I find awkward is the controls are fastened in the chin strap. Could be me that needs to get used to it and also the cushioning will give a little bit with wear, so it should be a little bit easier to use
The Ride Pal 3 is specifically designed for my LS2 lid. Fairly easy to install. I followed LS2's YouTube vid. Set up was a doddle and Worked immediately. As a bonus,Sportsbikeshop communication and service was excellent on this my first dealings with them.
Simple bit of kit at a great price.
Easy to fit as helmet ( LS2 Valiant) is prepared to accept it.
Does everything I need at an affordable price.
Great service from Sportsbikeshop as always.
Thanks .
Works perfectly, easy to use. my wife and I both have one. and both really like it
A bit fiddly but once you do it once, it's easier on another helmet blue tooth did not pair right away but got there in the end buttons can be a bit fiddly with Gloves on.
Very easy to install and sound quality is amazing. A bit finicky with gloves on but the positives far outweigh any negatives
Overall this Bluetooth headset is great for the LS2 Valiant. I had issues with connectivity after about 6/7 months of using everyday but Sportsbikeshop were excellent in the one for one on this product with free return. 2nd one arrived but there was a problem with the hook and loop (velcro). Again Sportsbikeshop jumped into action and again free return and dispatched another. This one is fine and works great as expected. Easy to fit and use.
Bought 2, one for me other for passenger. Good sound quality, easy to install in the LS2. First one took 20 minutes, second one 10. Excellent mp3 quality sound. Communication quality is very good, with closed helmets understandable at 120-140 km/hr. Tried to connect with sena s20, worked fine!
Fitting into my LS2 valiant helmet was easy although instructions had to be viewed on line, none came with the unit. The unit basically fits on the straps of the helmet with the aerial inside the lining at the back, no box of tricks hanging off the side of the helmet.
Haven't made or received many phone calls since fitting it but when I have they were very clear both ends. Intercom hasn't been used yet but will definitely be useful later. I have also listed to music via Spotify on my phone. Only criticism is that the controls which are fitted to the helmet straps are a bit awkward to use with my winter gloves although it my be a case of getting used to them.
All in all a good purchase in my humble opinion.
