RST Rallye CE Textile Jeans - Black / Flo Red

Bought as my third (or fourth?) pair of RST trousers and feel the most comfortable of the lot so far. They have the cargo pockets which I use extensively. Not worn in heavy rain yet, but have kept showers out.

Fit well and keep you warm

Usual decent quality for price range but far less quality of older textile trousers. Anti slip is next to useless in these trousers meaning you slide all over the seat. Other than this main design flaw, the fit is good, plenty of pockets and is water proof for a considerable time before the rain gets in.

I have had these trousers for a couple of months, have ridden in torrential rain and they kept the water out. The zip vents do not really offer any increase in air flow, as the top of the thigh is "perforated" allowing good airflow anyway... no so good when cold because you can't stop air entering the trousers. The liner helps but not ideal for winter really. They are of course bulky, and the liner is very "sticky" when you are hot making removing them difficult. Feel well made and ok for commuting and short touring trips. At this price they're ok.

Sportsbikeshop did a great job of sending these out when the previous pair didn't fit, customer service as always is the best.

Onto the jeans, these are very high quality and tried them out on a cold day. There is no chance of feeling the cold through these, I had the removable thermal liner in and was warm as toast the whole time. The jeans are quite thick and heavy which is reassuring. Waterproof, breathable and have zip up vents for warmer days as well as CE knee protection. I've not checked yet but I think they are removable once you remove the thermal liner which attaches by zip to the waist and legs.

There are 2 small pockets under the thermal liner too. 2 normal zip pockets and 2 bigger cargo style pockets and a full attachment zip for RST jackets.

Because I found myself to be in between sizes, the ones that fit me are a bit baggy at the waist but nothing a pair of braces didn't fix. This will also be sorted once I get a jacket to connect to with the zip.

I bought these trousers to go with a new RST Paragon 5 jacket. On my wish list I wanted trousers with Cargo style products (left for my wallet and right for my mobile). I also wanted vents at the front and the rear and a good quality zip fastening on the trouser legs. For £119 nothing comes close to the RST Rallye. There is plenty of technology with vents in and vents out, a full length connecting zip, stretch panels, removable thermal lining, adjustable waist with strong waist fasteners, reflective panels, strong zips and permanent waterproofing. The legs are generously long.

On cold days below 10 Deg C I use the thermal liner and I remove it on warmer days. I wore these trousers from Cambridge to Arras in France and back in the cold and wet and they worked well.

I have been biking 40 years and I ride 15,000 miles and year so I can recognise a good product.

Riding in around 8 Celsius and kept perfectly warm, hasn't rained yet so still to see how they get on there!

Very thick with the thermal liner in place. I ordered the L but they were out of stock so I got XL. I had to return them. The waist was adjustable enough but they were huge on the thighs and even when adjusted to their highest position, the knee pads were shin guards at best.
I don't see these as useful four season over-trousers. If you need the thermal liner for winter then they will be too big without it for summer use, and if you want vented pants for summer, they are too small to put the liner in for winter use.

I am very much a fan of these trousers. They are comfy. Seem to be great quality and they look good. The removable thermal liner means they can be worn all year round. I got them to go with my RST R-18 textile jacket. They match perfectly and look really good together. I will stick with RST.

These are great textile and perfect fit to the CPX-C Textile Jacket. The removable thermal lining is brilliant for winter riding and keeps legs nice and warm. Have used in heavy rainy and kept me bone dry. Highly recommend and cannot fault.

These trousers are an excellent buy and the fit is excellent. Very comfortable on the bike and plenty of storage with the multiple pockets.
