Ordered 3 XL when I am between M & L (based on their size guide). Yes it fits over the leathers with zips yet to be tested in a rain storm.
The leg parts a little on the long side, even when sat on the bike.
The velcro straps could have a longer overlap to tighten/gather up excesses.

Early days

I've had a suit made by Held for years and sadly it's no longer waterproof. I've ridden through some truly atrocious weather and still been warm and dry. I couldn't find exactly the same suit as I had, as it seems to have been superseded. I'm disappointed that this isn't double layered like my first one, so although I was dry today , I did notice the cold. I wear full leathers under my waterproofs. They also feel quite light weight and flimsy compared to my first set too. I don't want to knock them as I haven't given them a good try but those are my first initial impressions. As I am tall I was impressed that they didn't ride up on my leg and they were plenty long enough.

This is my first 'waterproof ' suit so I can't compare against anything else. Originally ordered in a regular M but as a 5' 7", 50 yr old with a slight paunch I found this a bit snug around the middle so I had a swift exchange for the M tummy size. Even with a tex jacket underneath this fits a lot better. Not too long in the arms/legs (for a short bloke), so overall I'm chuffed with everything about the suit. It looks good and seems to be a quality product. I would give it a 5 but haven't got wet yet so can't comment on the waterproofness!

Questions and Answers
For the size guide is this measuring your chest size whilst wearing protective clothing or naked skin? Partner is 6 1 and 80kg (so I think 39/40 chest) but can t work out what size to order. Thx!
November 24, 2024The sizing goes for the size of the protective clothing you're covering with the suit so if you're wearing an XXL jacket then I'd say go with that.
