R&G Racing Radiator Guard - Yamaha MT-07 / XSR700 / Tracer 700

No nonsense radiator guard with usual top R&G quality.
Looks like it will hold up well like most R&G products and gives full coverage of the radiator fins without much extra heat being trapped.
No complaints!

This is the second R&G radiator guard I have purchased from sportbike shop, excellent product but awkward to fit due to Yamaha plastic push revits , after half hour I managed to fit the four mounting revits,care must be taken as these can easily break, I have checked the firmest after 100 miles and it looks secure ( might be worth using reg plate nylon nuts and bolts)

Looks nice on the bike and easy to clean - saved the radiator from all the crap going in. Easy to fit too. Arrived in great time.

Perhaps I missed something here. I bought the R&G radiator guard on the strength of comments on this site about how easy it was to fit, my experience was quite the reverse. When I offered up the guard it was immediately apparent that the slots didn't line up with the holes for the push rivets on the sides of the rad. I could get two on one side on okay, but then had to try and force the thing on at the other side. Inevitably, one of the rivets broke with all of that force being applied. I removed the guard and slightly bent the flaps to try and get them to line up with the holes. This had a minor effect. I got the feeling that having applied the foam strips provided and recommended in the instructions may have been hindering my attempts at lining up the two sets of holes, but persevered. I had to buy a couple of new push rivets from my local dealer and eventually - after an awful lot of sweat and tears - managed to get the final rivet in place and the guard is now on and looks good.
During the process I even called R&G technical support using the number provided in the instruction and left a message as there was no answer. Three weeks later I am still awaiting a response.
The guard looks great now it is fitted, but it is expensive and not at all easy to fit in my experience. But maybe I just got a bad one . . . . .

Covers the grill part of radiator so hopefully saves the stones & road muck damaging. Nice, there's small choice of colour finishes. Quite pricey for what it is tho!

Arrived very quickly. Takes 10mins to fit. A must have addition to your Tracer 700.

My MT07 was totally standard when I purchased it, but it was evident even after its 2300 miles that the radiator had taken a slight battering from insect impact and light road debris. The R & G radiator guard fitted perfectly and was an easy 10 min diy job. The guard looks great and enhances the front end of the bike.
