Arai TX BV ProtecTINT Pinlock Insert - TX3 / TX4

The Pinlock insert would stick to the inside of \the visor causing poor vision and the insert was visually imperfect , overall this was a very poor item for me and would never buy again.

Firstly this is not a dark visor and in bright sunlight will not stop you from squinting into the sun.

This is my second one of these visors for my Arai Tour X4 and although it doesn't go particularly dark it does take the edge off bright sunshine and transitions fairly quickly if you are in and out of tunnels etc.

Not perfect and a bit expensive but as there's little choice other than sunglasses on and off in an Arai I would say it's worth the money.

The tint on the ProtectTINT is so minor it has little to benefits. The fitment of the Pinlock is terrible, with constant adjustment needed to prevent rippling.
After failing to fit the Pinlock I resorted to a 250 mile round trip to the SBS store to have it fitted (any reason for a ride really). It even took the better part of 45 minutes for the staff to fit it correctly. There appears to be an issue with the post notches not being the correct size which causes the insert to flex slightly when the posts are set to 0 tension.
Don't bother with this, buy a dark visor instead.
