A good quality product with clear fitting instructions. Tried fitting without removing the end can but ultimately had to remove it for easier access to the screw near the shock. A couple of the holes did not line up exactly with the holes in the swingarm. A lot of fiddling around eventually got them aligned but had to leave the metal sheath out of one of the rubber grommets. Had it not been for that, it would have got 5 stars..

Thought when I ordered this product it would be made of plastic, its constructed with fibreglass.
The instructions say to remove the end can on the exhaust........ Didn't need to do that.
I fitted the rubber washers, placed the hugger in position and loosely fitted the bolts,the holes are not precisely in line but a bit of wiggling about gets the job done, the one in near the spring is a bit tricky.
Then tightened up the bolts in sequence, fairly simple to fit and looks well....

I chose this as a replacement for one that was fitted to my bike when purchased and fell apart while doing the NC500. This one is much better made and feels solid. The mounting positions are much better also. It is tight to get on but that only adds the how solid it is fitted. Thanks SBS

Shock and bottom linkage are very exposed in this bike - usual gap between factory mudguard and swinging arm (why do they do this??).
Makes this an essential fit - and also keeps more of the back of the bike clean.
Looks great too.
4* only as the front fitment is very awkward. Very secure tho' so perhaps I'm just picky.

SBS service spot on as per usual!
Hugger on the other hand, not quite so good - the finish quality is excellent but it was difficult to fit because one or more of the mounting holes did not line up. Eventually got the Hugger fitted but with the slight distortion, the chain guard part of the Hugger is close to the chain. It should not cause problems but I am disappointed that I cannot give 10 out 10.

All Pyramid Plastics products are bespoke, being uniquely designed and engineered to suit each individual motorbike. On stock bikes there is often nothing to protect the rear shock and surrounding area from the elements thrown up by the rear tyre. Pyramid huggers not only enhance the look of the bike they also protect the rear section from road dirt and grime. Where possible an integral chainguard is incorporate into the design, along with an extension below the swinging arm to protect the suspension linkage and rear shock. Pyramid huggers are bike-specific to ensure a perfect fit, and are made in a range of materials including ABS plastic, glass-reinforced plastic and carbon fibre.
