Oxford Hardy Wax Textile Jacket - Black

Wanted a less 'technical' jacket for the summer and Oxford kit always delivers.
Good armour, looks great and all the pockets in the right place.
A good buy.

I've always had textilex suits and fancied a change. I already have Oxford gear and have been pleased with the quality and price. This is really nicely made and suits my Moto Guzzi V7 850 Special. I'm normally a medium in Oxford's jackets but bought a large and it fits perfectly. Do size up! I haven't worn it in rain yet but it is a warm jacket with the liner in. I have worn it in warm weather minus the liner and it was great. Versatile, classy and great value.

I tried on many different jackets at SBS and kept coming back to this one as the best all round. Be prepared to go up a size though. I want to use mainly for the summer, so was glad to see how refined it looks without the liner. It feels the kind of jacket that will continue to mature overtime into an old friend.

Really like the jacket and it will probably be my new non-winter jacket. Was a bit stiff at first but seems to be getting better. Had it as my commuter for about 2 weeks.

Sizing, as has been mentioned, is way off. Not too bad around the chest but quite a slim fit jacket, too many pies have led to the inevitable conclusion and this is a much snugger fit than my previous one.
Definitely go two sizes up at least. Arms are tight with the thermal liner in, not too bad with it out. But the red liner securing strap likes to poke out of the sleeve with the liner gone.

I struggled to find the information when I was looking at this jacket but it does have a decent amount of pockets. None of them are big pockets but big enough for keys, wallets, phones, phone chargers, that sort of thing. 2 chest pockets, the zipped vents are big enough to act as small pockets, 2 hand warmer outside pockets, 1 napoleon pocket outside the zip but inside the button up flap, and 2 inside pockets.

I brought this jacket to wear with biker jeans in the warmer months as an alternative to my 2 piece textile gear.
Wore it for the first time today, it was 14° out & I had a t-shirt on under it and the quilted lining was in. I was comfortably warm. Probably could have removed the liner.
The fit is perfect. I'm 5ft 10in and 13 stone with 42 inch chest, size large is perfect. There's not much scope If you want to layer up under it in colder weather, which I have no intention of doing.
The quality is spot on.
I'd highly recommend this jacket.

I found this jacket comfortable, Nice and warm, I have not ridden in the rain yet so I can't comment on the waterproofing. It seems well made ..
Had to go a size up because the arms were a bit tight but I'm well happy with the styling, it goes well with my 06 triumph scrambler

I have been using this jacket for my daily commute for a couple of years now, and there's nothing at all I would change. Its warm, comfortable and looks good, with all the protection and storage you need. Its kinda heavy, but that hasnt bothered me. Lost its water resistance after a while, so I re-treated it and now its reasonably water-resistant, not at all water-proof I'd say. Great for the price, no need to pay twice as much unless you really just want the brand! ;-)

Not much I can say about this jacket, it does what it says.
Perfect fit, comfortable, suits me

Bought a size medium (5ft 9 -82kg medium/solid build).

Fit is great. Slightly slim fit, but not overly tight. As many have said the forearms are a bit tight feeling and shorter sleeves than other jackets, but actually doesn't make a difference when riding.

Really comfortable and surprisingly light.
Quality of the jacket is really good. Feels solid and reckon will last. I've worn it without the liner as just a jacket as you can't really notice the body armour and comes across as a normal jacket.

Actually pretty warm. Did an hour and a half including dual carriageways, with a thermal vest, t-shirt and jacket with liner, temp around 10-12C and was very comfortable. Have gone out on casual rides with just a T-shirt and liner around 10-14C and again don't get cold.
Only been in slight showers, but stayed completely dry, but can't comment on anything heavier.

Top jacket and of course SBS service great as usual.

Brilliant jacket good quality and lovely style. Forget the sizing I would go 2 sizes bigger than you are.

Amazing jacket, wish I had bought it sooner. Very warm and looks great too, the oxford patch on the arm is Velcro so you can take if off if you want to. Sizing is on the small size, I went one size up and its a perfect fit.

Combined the jacket with RST jeans, used the oxford zip attachment for belts to keep the jacket in place and works great.

Only gripe is that the back protector pocket isn't really a pocket, you need to have Velcro strips on the back protector to stay in place. The oxford back protector RB-Pi1 or RB-Pi2 has the Velcro on it.

I've had this jacket a few weeks now and am loving it. It's as stylish as it looks in the pics and the build quality is exceptional. Do take jote of the sizing comments. They come in small so you need to size up. There are lots of pocket options, and phone sized ones too, and the liner is a doddle to get in and out giving it a wider seasonal use. The jackets are a little stiff when first worn but that's down to the over engineering of it, and the quality. Mine has loosened up nicely and looks as good off the bike as it does on it.

I have never before bought a bike jacket that I already own, but I was so pleased with the Oxford hardy jacket that I already own I had no problem in buying another. The only change was the colour, I am very pleased with my purchase

Having all the extras like the pockets and zips makes it really handy to manage all my gear like keys! I like to keep my phone in the top pocket. The quality of the jacket is outstanding and has been fine in this cold weather. I have gone 5 sizes up though as my size was a little tight I am not sure how much it will stretch but it seems to be holding up well. Having washed the jacket in Nikki waterproofing the water does bead up a little and I think with waterproofs the great looking jacket would look good also for casual wear. Outstanding service from sportbikeshop as always. The detailing and workmanship is remarkably exceptional.
