I bought myself the Oxford hot grips as a gift for Christmas. The grips themself are perfect and simple to install.
The problem was the price
I paid 89.99 for them. But once I was home I saw a second label for 67!
Feel like I got scammed.
Always check the labels
Nice and warm, even set on 60% , simple to install
I fit them to all bikes I own, make such a difference on cold days!
These grips are hotter than any other grips I have fitted, they are fantastic
You have to admit that Oxford have absolutely nailed it with their heated grips.
Straight forward to fit and connect up. I have fitted them to every bike I have owned and never had any issues with them.
Usual best price and quick delivery from SBS.
Purchased for a little more comfort on those cold dry winter days. I have to say they didn't disappoint. They are superb.
Great product at a very good price, sportsbikeshop staff as always very helpful, many thanks.
Easy to follow instructions
Easy to install
Quality item well worth the money and build quality second to none
Have these on both bikes. Best thing about these is they switch off when bike is off so no wasting battery if you forget.
Despite the Oxford website recommending this product for the GSX-S1000. The Right hand grip does not fit the throttle tube - I had to completely reshape the tube on a lathe to get it to fit.
Also, the bracket for the controller does not fit without reshaping.
Once finally fitted, the grips do work well
Being a biker since 1975, and now being 64, this is the first time I've had heated grips. Oxford Advanced, easy to fit, oh my, I wished I'd fitted them years ago. Easy to fit, Theses are essential, Warm hands, great controler, concentration up, over the moon.
Easy to fit and works great
Oxford have some great products including these hot grips. SBS are excellent as always and the staff are amazing. Many thanks once again…
Love them and very good value. Warmer than many OEM heated grips.
After a few sets I've found that the sports grips suit me best as they are a little thinner than the touring/adventure ones.
Fitting is straightforward but don't rush it, lots of eyeing up time and dry fitting before you commit to glue.
The throttle twist tube is often too wide for the right hand grip to fit over but sanding it down a few mm with sandpaper is easy to do but takes a while to get a good sliding fit.
Very warm and if it's not freezing at motorway speed 30/40% is plenty.
Good quality and good connections.
Excellent heated grips. Installation instructions were easy to understand and include tips for avoiding possible problems. Install time about 1 hour. Plus another hour rerouting the wiring a couple of times. Have had a couple of rides in 50 F temperatures and no more then 50% heat level is necessary, with leather gloves. Have not tried the auto shutoff feature yet. Highly recommended for fit, finish and operation.
I needed to replace broken grips but could not understand which to buy. Oxford Products were helpful but the guys at Sportsbikeshop were sooo patient with me faffing about trying to choose.
Awesome.
Have not fitted these to the intended bike yet but have on another and find them faultless. Very easy to use and seamlessly fit once you know your way around a bike. Well-made product for the price as with most Oxford items.
Wired them into my 2022 MT09SP to work directly with the screen control. Work perfect and at a fraction of the price of Yamaha grips.
The Oxford grips are great, little fiddly to fit. But work fantastic. They seem very well made and all the connections are easy to connect.
Oxford Heated Advanced Hot Grips - Sports
- Weather proof construction
- Nine heat settings
- Intelligent heat setting memory
- Battery saving mode
- Optimised tread pattern
- Simple installation
- Length: 123mm / 114mm
The Oxford Advanced HotGrips feature 9 heat settings to give increased control for the perfect operating temperature with LED lights to indicate the level. The intelligent heat setting memory function stores the previous heat setting and defaults to this at power up, saving time when in regular use. The heat controller uses a sealed-for-life welded case construction for long term durability and weather proofing along with weather proof power connectors to further protect the HotGrips against the elements. The battery saving mode protects against flat batteries. If you forget to turn the switch off, it will do it for you. If the engine is switched off, the grips will automatically turn off until enough power is available. This eliminates the need for the user to buy and fit relays. The grips have ergonomically engineered surface structures to optimise riding performance. Thicker rubber in areas of maximum wear ensure high levels of grip and vibration absorption. Thanks to their unique expandable design and fool proof wiring loom, HotGrips are extremely easy to fit. Connection to the motorcycle could not be simpler. Simply connect the two ring connectors to the battery.

Do the advanced grips get any hotter than the premium ones or is it just more settings and more weather proof? Also I have a gsr600 so should I go for touring or sports grips?
May 2, 2019The grips will not get any hotter than the premium version. The connections are superior to the older TM style connectors. Either will be fine. The end of the grips may need trimming to fit - the maximum uncut and cut lengths are shown on each item. If you can measure the grips that are already fitted, the ones to purchase are the grips that require the least trimming to fit.
