Hi, I'm a 40/42" waist 31" inside leg What size would you recommend please ??

Referring to RST's size chart, we would recommend ordering the 3XL.

What size would fit for a 34" waist and 30" inside leg. Also, I've read through all the reviews but no one mentions a zip/slot for the side of the road stops. Is there one?

Good Kit

Works very well at blocking the wind, with a fleece type of inner lining keeping you warm too. I've a long leg, 33" , so was a bit worried I'd need to go up a size (M to L) to ensure proper coverage. Found this wasn't necessary, although if you have long legs and wear shoes as opposed to boots it could be a problem. Some have mentioned the ankles are tight fitting, but maybe they have addressed this as I have no issue with it. The only downside is the cut is just a bit odd, again something people have mentioned. Mainly body hugging, but looser in places. Not a real breaker, and it doesn't later the effectiveness of the product.

Recent ride was 7/ 8 degrees for an hour at motorway speeds, in these and riding jeans trousers done well, got cold near the end of the ride but probably because my hands and arms were very cold

Excellent product for winter months

Have been using these in 5 degrees and under weather with just a pair of biking jeans on top and they keep my legs nice and warm. Definitely the best pair of wind proof thermals I have had. However they are fairly tight around the ankles so may be worth getting a size up - this doesn't bother me though as stops them from slipping when putting boots on.

I wear them under jeans and they noticeably reduce the wind, but don't block it. Fitting is strange, disproportionally tight around the ankle, so to get a size that was comfortable for me it's a baggy fit. Not an issue for under jeans, but under leathers I'd expect you'd want something more skin tight. Good value.

Decently wind proof but not wholly so. Not the nicest of materials but comfortable enough. Could still feel the cold a little at 9C under riding jeans on a naked bike. I'm 6'2" and have a 32" waist and the mediums fit well with boots on.

Deligthed with the purchase via Sportbikeshop. The pants are good quality and keep you warm in the cold Irish weather. If you feel cold in your leathers than you should defo go for them as you won't regrete it. Also, these are priced well!

They are good as wind blockers, haven't tried in cold weather yet. I used to ride in fleece and this one makes a difference. Fitting is strange though.

First ride in the RST Thermal Wind Block Pants
I was in a temperature of 10 degrees Celsius and I was wearing a leather suit. I was impressed that even at 100mph I didn't feel that cold air. The whole set fits perfectly, it is very comfortable even under a well-fitting leather suit. Of course, I recommend that the entire RST THERMAL WIND BLOCK set be well-fitting to the body to avoid discomfort while driving.
The quality of the material is 5*, the workmanship is 5* and the price for everything is very low. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase

Wore as a mid layer with another pair of fleece leggings underneath.
They have a nice fleece lining and fitted well under leather trousers.
My only issue was the lowest section tore very slightly when pulling up over thick socks. Didn't compromise it but they could do with a small section of more stretchy fabric.
Tested on a 3 hour ride, 10 degrees and spirited riding - it was great! I was really comfortable and I kept nice and warm.
I did match it with the wind stopper jacket and also some new RST heated gloves, which made the perfect combination. I'm now set for colder weather riding!!

RST Thermal Trousers

Great service from Sportsbikeshop as always super fast delivery.
The trousers are great used in weather windy and 3 degrees no cold penetration only had jeans over on one ride, Fantastic product from RST, if I was going to be really picky, when you've got all your kit on if you want to go to the loo, there is no fly zip which means it's all waist below got to come down. But this is minor and wouldn't put me off getting them for their performance.

Make a profound difference under my leathers. No windchill when doing the speed limit! Only Downside is the fitting is a little strange. Tight on the lower legs, but baggy on the top/waist.
