RST Thermal Wind Block Top - Black

Seems like a nice well made top but unfortunately far too small. I'm 6ft 2" and 14 stone and I ordered a 2XL as the reviews said to order up a size. It was so small I had to check the label and it was indeed labelled 2XL so had to return it. Very disappointed

Quality item that makes a difference. Wish I bought one before now. Size wise, I had to go a size up.
Had to return first item and move up a size, SBS service 1st class yet again.

This top does exactly what it says,- I've worn it as a base layer on cold days, and as the only layer on sunny days with only a leather jacket over the top. It is wind proof and does have thermal properties.
It fits well (I'm a 44" chest, I bought and XL), just tight enough. Pulling it on and off is a bit of a contortionist routine, but it's comfortable when it is on. My only minor gripe is that the stand up collar sometimes feels a bit scratchy against my neck, I usually wear a thin scarf so it's nut not generally I problem.
One more thing, it's wind proof, so consequently it's not breathable, I found it could be a bit sweaty if you have a lot of other layers on.
Great VFM, and looks tidy enough to wear casually outdoors, (perhaps not in a restaurant though,)

For over 7 years and 100K miles I've used my Oxford Chill out high neck top. But it has finally given up.
I wanted a high nec and a none front zip. This was the only real option. My oxford was an XL but I had to get a 3XL in this rst to fit. So its rated good as it does what it says. However to get the other star I would have like elasticated cuffs an a slightly tighter neck closer that is softer. I have to wear a snood to stop neck drafts. Only had it just under 2 weeks and 700 miles so please bear in mind it's not been washed or had years of use when reading my review.

I'm a medium, luckily after reading the reviews on size I ordered a large. Perfect fit.

Bought to go under a Knox Urban Pro Jacket but bike is currently off road so using on my ebike. At last I'm warm, been out on a challenging cold ride and core stayed warm when would normally be shaking like a shi**ing dog.

I was really impressed with the Thermal Wind Block pants that go with these, so decided to get the top also. Works a treat, and exceptional value. Not too bulky and fits well between base layers and jacket. Highly recommended.

Great bit of Kit. I bought 2XL and fits snugly but not too snug. Used it recently for a 200 mile round trip in fairly cold weather and it worked a treat. I like the offset zip but would have liked it to be a bit longer.

Cracking mid layer bought to go under summer mesh jacket.
Originally ordered large but far too tight so definitely go one size more than normal.
Good value for money.

I wanted something to go under the mesh jacket on the colder mornings. This works a treat, fit is quite tight so no excess fabric to try to squeeze under the jacket. It stops the wind and cold getting to your body through the mesh. Very happy with the purchase and Sportsbikeshop as always fantastic service, highly recommended.

I'm glad I read the reviews before ordering. I'm 6'2" with a 38" chest and would normally order a medium but ordered XL . I could probably have got away with a size L but the XL is reasonably comfortable.

At 9C under a summer leather jacket that streams quite a bit of air, I could still feel the cool air hitting my chest and I was borderline cold on my naked bike. By the time the temperature rose to 11C things were better so I'll need at least one more layer in winter. The material's a bit plasticky and doesn't confirm to your body shape fully so the sizing is important in reducing drafts.

Fits really well under my aloine stars suit. Keeps the still chilly scottish spring air off you while ridding. Don't notice it bunching or getting in way. I have to admit; I have mo idea how RST make such a quality garment at this price. New favourite bit of kit!

Matched with RST wind block pants. Kept me very warm on a night ride. I'm 5'11" and 95kg with 42" chest and got a large. Snug fit! Perfect!

Does what it says on the tin, doesn't let any wind in. Good quality product from RST and another great service from sportsbikeshop.

Riding in cool weather without this base layer and then riding with will make you feel slightly ignorant. Wind chill is reduced to insignificant when wearing this under your leathers. It fits well, it's comfortable, it doesn't move around and it definitely does the job. Such great value for money and from a British brand too. Nice work RST !
