Givi SR1103 Rear Rack - Honda CBR250 R

I bought this for my CBR250R (2013). Easy to fit and fits well, though I recommend slackening off the side panels to ease it in as the fit is tight. Separate Givi box comes with a fitting plate which is easy to but on. This makes if very easy to remove a Givi box when it's not required. The rack is not obtrusive when there is no box on it.

Good rack, fits CBR 250R well. The cross-bars are round with no holes so you will need a universal mounting kit (or just the "W-shaped" butterfly clamps if you have the screws already).

The rack is rated for 6kg - plenty as the smaller (30l, I believe) top box similar to the one on the photo is rated for 3kg max.

Very easy installation, the holes aligned perfectly on mine.

I'd recommend getting tamper-proof screws for the butterfly clamps, just for extra peace of mind. The screws (or nuts, depending which way to screw them) will be a bit on show from the bottom of the rack, mainly the rear ones.

At the time of writing the sportsbikeshop description missed that it is also the correct rack for the CBR125R (mine was a 2016 model). A little tricky to manoeuvre into the right position (but that's Honda's fault). There is a cross bracket included that makes it even more sturdy. Very strong and well finished. I've seen a spec somewhere that says that this is OK for a max weight of 6kg but it looks tougher than that.
If I have one gripe, it that when I removed it after 6 months to sell the bike, I noticed 2 small areas of rust stain right at the back where the spray paint didn't cover the weld. Its a difficult to reach area for a spray gun. No biggie.
I would still recommend buying it but to apply a drop of hammerite with a fine brush to that weld before fitting.

P.S. don't buy the mounting plate. You get one with the top box.
