Purchased this to replace top box with roll bag as for European trip easy to fit I did have to adapt the plate slightly as I was fitting it to a triumph mounting plate no great drama just drilled holes slightly different location job done .i can now use a roll bag which I find more useful for fitting gear in especially with her indoors on back

Yes, it's a good quality item and should do the job but it's quite an expensive item to only be rated to take 6kgs of weight. The chances are a 50 litre bag (maximum quoted for use with) will weigh a lot more than this, however, annoyingly this is the only thing of its kind available and I did search extensively for alternatives. My Givi bag is also 60 litres, you'd think they'd have a rack suitable for it but they simply don't.

The rack is a boon, fitting is straightforward, price is good...but the edges are sharp. This means it runs the risk of damaging the bike cover. Also, I've had to cut up some foam and cable tie it to the portion of the rack facing the pillion as it makes a ride exceptionally uncomfortable for them. If they'd taken the time to grind the edges it would be a 5* product - I do expect better from Givi.
