Alpinestars Nucleon KR-HR Hip Protector - Black / White

Arrived quickly, easy to fit and feel confidence inspiring.

The Alpinestars information said that my Missile V2 size 50 pants requires size large KR-HR armour. My feeling is that large is too large - they prevented me from moving my knees outwards when on my bike. I've now fitted the small version and can barely feel it.

Put them in my Astars Andes 2 trousers and they fit really well, comfortable and easy to put in.

These are big and bulky and if they are fitted properly, they are comfortable. The velcro pocket covers are good, but fitting them to the jeans needs to be done perfectly as otherwise, they can be a bit uncomfortable

Bought these to go in Alpinestars Radium jeans ordered large as sizing guide suggested didn't fit .NO problem exchange for small really good fit in size 33 hip jean but hopefully never need to try out !!

Does what it says on the tin. Great firm protection that can be used with velcro or with the provided pocket covers. They are big but feel confident when in.

Being the level 2 they are noticeable with wearing as quite thick but do get used to it and good to have the increased protection

Seem very well made, hope to never have to test them.

Excellent quality, gives you that bit of extra protection and that can't be a bad thing! I like Alpinestars stuff.
Sportsbikeshop kept me informed of their journey so that was nice!

No sizing avaible, I took small and it's way too small, I wear M size trousers, to return goods from EU it's too expensive!!!

These are probably the best hip armour you can buy. The quality is first class. Not cheap, but who wants a false hip!!

Fits well. Much better than the foam padding you get as standard on Astars stuff ...

Quality: A-Star cannot be faulted. Feels like a solid piece of armour compared to the ordinary foam that it replaced in the A-Star Challenger suit trouser - Hip section

Fit: Perfect fit as expected. They seem similar to D3O armor. If you squeeze its soft and if you punch it feels hard. Surely similar properties if I am not mistaken. It does mould to your body to an extent as claimed by some reviews, but that is a good thing.

Feel: Doesn't cause any discomfort. Feels as if it was already part of the suit. Also invokes confidence in the suit.
Wore it during a very hot day and didn't seem to change the comfort of the suit compared to when there was only foam. It's perforated well so does breathe.

Test: Hope never to ever have to. Confident it will do it's job.

Excellent fit, full hip coverage and very comfortable, they get more comfy as they warm up and adapt to the contours of your hips. They feel very well made and even come with some cool sleeves. If you squeeze them hard with your fingers it acts like memory foam but way more dense. I ordered large and they still fit well in my jeans hip pocket. It's nice knowing that you have that extra protection in a spill. I'm happy I ordered these :)
