Why did I wait so long

I've been riding for 13 years now and luckily I've never needed a back protector (as I've not had a crash) but I finally decided to get this one just in case. The main reason for not getting one sooner is the thought of getting an insert for one jacket but what if I want it in a different jacket, will it fit, is it the right shape, can I be bothered to switch it out etc. So i came to the conclusion to get the Forcefield Pro vest XV because it solves all of those problems. It goes under any jacket/hoody so I only need 1 back protector and it takes no real extra effort to put on and even better it has a chest protector too, which a lot of jackets don't even have pouches for chest inserts.
Some other points;
- I chose the vest version over the long sleeved version because any bike jacket or hoody I've bought or thought of buying has included shoulder and elbow protection so would only end up removing it and that didn't make sense to me.
- As mentioned it's easy to put on and on a chilly ride it felt like a nice warm hug. Very comfy.
- Haven't tested how effective it is for safety and hopefully I won't have to buy it feels well made and I have confidence in it.
If you haven't got a back protector yet or you're looking for a new one then I highly recommend this vest and considering it's quite comparable in price to a decent insert then this wins by miles in my opinion.

I needed a back protection and I seen this product on sports bike shop website.As a bonus it has got chest protection.Very comfortable to wear.After ordering it was arrived the next day great.

Great Body Armour Addition!

I bought this vest to go under my one piece leathers. The vest fits like a glove, and the chest & back protector are supremely comfortable. There have been other review stating that the vest rides up from the bottom. However, if used in conjunction with the supplied waist strap, the vest is kept in the perfect position. Comes highly recommended!

Excellent fit. I have had trouble with other back protectors working their way up into my neck but this stays in position when racing.

Sizing is spot on, the front protector is a bit more bulky then I expected however body warmth makes is softer over few minutes. The back protector sits nicely, forms into your back shape over few minutes. Makes me feel really safe.

Fits it's purpose

Sportsbikeshop again come up with the best price. The vest is comfortable on but a bit tight under the arm pits but a small niggle to the level of extra protection the vest gives. It's better when you've been riding and warmed up and it seems to flex more with your body heat. Definitely recommend

overall I'm pleased with this vest and it does offer additional protection, especially impressed with the chest protector. It's comfortable to wear over long distances and you can wear over additional layers if desired. Would recommend!

I purchased this as the Belstaff jacket I had didn't have a pocket for a back protector, I found this product very comfortable to wear under the jacket and would recommend.

Comfortable protection

Comfortable to wear over a T-shirt under my bike jacket. I didn't need the shoulder or elbow protection as my jacket already has them, so the vest option was a good solution. Back protection looks very good, chest protection is limited by the central zip - a side zip would have been better. Expensive, even with a price match, but worth it, hopefully!

Great piece of equipment

Very comfortable under my jackets. The compression fit is tight but snug without restricting any movement. Warm but not overhearing. Luckily not had to test the protector whilst riding but do have confidence in it should I need it.
Great piece of equipment that I hope never to have to actually use.
