The Halvarssons Comfort Sweater is a lightweight technical long sleeved Merino wool base layer. 61% Merino wool and 39% Outlast temperature regulating treatment. Outlast is a phase change material (PCM) technology. In simpler terms, it has the ability to store and release heat, ensuring optimal comfort for the wearer. Outlast materials utilize microcapsules called Thermocules that absorb, store, and then release heat to regulate the temperature.
Absorb heat: When the wearer's body temperature rises, the Thermocules present in Outlast clothing turn from a solid to a liquid state, absorbing and storing the excess heat. This helps to cool the body down.
Release heat: Conversely, when the body cools down, the Thermocules revert from a liquid back to a solid state, releasing the stored heat and warming up the body.
