Bought these crash bobbins to replace my existing front mounted R&G bobbins. Heard stories of the single mount ones bending the frames, so went for the double mount style. Well made sturdy item, nice box, clear instructions and easy to fit in an hour, so for your home mechanic. They look great on and appear to offer a good level of protection without being too far out from the sides.
The brackets are finished in gloss back, and maybe a matt or satin finish would help it blend in a little better, and mine appear to have a A B and C stamped in the milled recess for some reason.
Overall good product, well made and i hope i never have to test them in anger!

R&G Aero Bobbins are a stylish, aerodynamic, tear-drop shaped bobbin improving on the original good looks of their highly successful and popular standard round bobbins. Fitted with a removable end cap which hides the bobbins fittings, this sleek new design looks superb and is a winner on road and track!
Easy to install they utilise specially engineer brackets mounting directly onto frame and engine mounts and replacing existing engine bolts with specially formulated bolts, stainless steel brackets and spacers.
