Shido Lithium Motorcycle Battery - LTX12-BS LION

Needed a new battery for my old Vstrom. Was debating whether to get a standard battery or lithium. The Shido was a good price so went for that. It is really lightweight, and I like the battery test indicator light on top, so you can check the battery status. Ideal if your bikes parked up for a few weeks/months. It's only been on a few weeks now, but im sure it will last a long time.

When the box arrived it was so lightweight I thought it was another component I'd ordered. Incredibly lightweight, fitted easily and fitted the bike up first push of the starter!

I almost thought they'd forgot to put it in the box! You won't believe how light it is. That's a great weight saving on the bike. It's smaller but comes with adapters that clip on to the bottom so fits the space correctly. Once fitted bike fired up without hesitation. Lithium different so read up on it. Happy purchase.

Met my needs exactly

Very good replacement for a lead battery that had stopped holding charge. It is very light and not as tall as the original but it comes with risers so it fits the space well - almost exactly the same dimensions as the original. The contacts are a match and the leads fit easily.
The battery starts the engine quickly and first time and it claims not to need charging if used regularly.

Needed another battery for under used motorbike. I thought I would make the switch to lithium. And so far so good. The weight difference is massive. I also like the battery life check button. A simple press to show the charge level. Very happy.

I was amazed at the lack of weight in this battery .If I'm honest it looks like a kids toy but dont be fooled theres plenty of power within. The usual speedy service even though I live on an island, great service , price and value for money.

I received the battery and charged it per the instructions with a lithium charger.
Fitted to my bike and everything was fine. The next morning I go out to start my bike and nothing. Checked the voltage with the led display and showing full charge.
Contacted Shido who confirmed that it sounds like the battery has a few dead cells.
Have since returned to Sportsbikeshop and awaiting a replacement/refund.

I've just bought this so I think it's a bit early to give a complete review for something like a battery that is hopefully going to last for years. All I can say is my first impression of the Shido is the weight saving is amazing. I honestly thought they had sent the wrong item, no way could it be a battery. The built in power gauge is a clever idea and tells you at a glance the state of charge. Mine arrived fully charged but I have a lithium charger just in case although reading other reviews I'm not sure I'll need it as these seem to retain their charge for ages. I don't have any alarm devices causing a constant drain so that might change things for you. Anyway to sum up it feels like a great quality product and time will tell how the service life compares to the old tech brick I pulled out.

Excellent little upgrade to ny old dated Lead Acid, made starting a lot easier and battery removal / installation far better with the low weight.
Only issue is that they are very sensitive, my first one died due to a faulty regulator and could not be revived even with a lithium battery tender. Lesson learned, Lithium batteries are not as resiliant as Lead Acid ones!

This battery is super light and comes fully charged. I couldn't believe the weight difference until I help both the original and this battery together. Perfect fit with the spacers to raise it up. All in all a very good buy for anyone wanting to keep the weight of your bike down and definitely helps with the running of the bike.

First thing you notice is the weight old battery 4kg this one 700g - very handy in terms of fitting and holding generally on fitment. Plenty of juice starts the bike easily.

Excellent battery. Much lighter than my previous one and easy to install.

Powerful little battery and amazingly lightweight, worth the dosh.
