Great battery, shows a higher voltage than my old glass mat one (13v) and 3 kilo's lighter, that's a pretty good weight reduction.

It's good but it's longevity is to be seen.

It's a great replacement in terms of fit. It's the same as the original (and lighter). I ordered a charger with it and it took a looooooong time to charge up to full capacity.
It all appears to be great. Only time will tell on how long it will last.

Old battery weighed 4.9kg!, this weighs 0.8kg same size fits perfect, if you are looking to shed some weight from your bike it's a no brainer! Great service from SBS as usual

Light, quick cranking and easy to install, but a Suzuki 650 '99 generates up to 15.5V which was clearly too much for the battery: lots of smoke and stranded on an awkward bit of the A27 was not what I needed! The temperature of an overcharged LiOn battery was enough to melt bits of the battery box. Not pleased - hoping for a warranty claim.

Very lightweight, powerful and long-lasting. I was hoping that it would also be low-profile, to give me more storage space under the saddle but alas, it is the exact size of the original lead-acid lump invented in the Dark Ages.

First lithium battery I have ever purchased,I have never purchased a Shido battery before. I fitted it to my Kawasaki ER6F, there is plenty of power from the battery, works a treat, comes with 3 year warranty what more could you ask for. I would recommend Shido, I can't believe how light the battery is. I should also mention this is my fourth purchase from Sportsbikeshop and I have received first class service on all occasions.

my first lithium battery for my VFR 800 2014 - on. Very light. Another aspect that you need to consider with these batteries is that you need to wake them up which means turn the ignition ON don't push the starter button yet and leave it for a few seconds with low beam on (it's on anyway) and it will start immediately otherwise if you don't wake battery and push the start button immediately after ignition it will eventually start but it will struggle. Apart from that its a nice upgrade saving you weight . SBS top firm

Nice light battery and does the job well. It is smaller than the lead acid equivalent and the placement of the health tester means some battery retainers are incompatible (April RSV4/Tuono for example).

Does this fit a KTM 890 duke r 2022?

The CCA is good, but the Amp hour capacity seems way too low (3.5?). Also what is the guaranteed minimum lifetime. I am actually looking for a replacement for my PC680, which has given good service for 4 years, but voltage is now dropping too much on cold cranking. Thank you.
November 1, 2019The Amp hour capacity is low on Shido batteries compared with Aliant batteries and we would therefore only recommend Shido batteries if you do not have electrical accessories installed on your motorcycle.
