Verified Customer Reviews for Schuberth SC2 Sena Bluetooth Communication System
Lovely looking, easily fits the SCHUBERTH helmet, quite easy to use but and it's a big but, when using the intercom the microphone is so sensitive all we could here is the wind noise!! Quite aloud in your ears!!!
Sportsbikeshop sent the intercom and the helmets away and were told there nothing wrong with them.
Sportsbikeshop kindly swapped them for a cardo universal unit which worked perfect within five minutes getting it out of the box.
Very easily fitted and so easy to set up once fitted - a world apart from my old comms system - stunning quality and easy to use - thankyou Sena!!
Easy to setup and use. Superb quality would highly recommend.
Coming from a shark with the shark tooth comms which aren't great I was blown away by this the sound is just perfect , easy to fit the modules and pair up to phone !
My 1st Schuberth intercom, easy set up and easy to use.
Great service from sportsbikeshop too
This is my second time using the Schuberth com system, first one (1st generation) entailed wiring speakers and Mic etc, which was a chore.
But this up SC2 was an absolute doddle, 5 mins and done! A very well designed system with the C5 helmet pre wired, set up easy, and the sound quality is excellent.
I would definitely recommend
Great kit fits very well in the helmet. I had a problem with coms connection but helmet and coms kit exchanged by company. Great service from Sportsbikeshop. Trust new kit now works.
Just fitted this and paired it to my phone. Simple to set up and works as described. I was particularly impressed with the FM radio performance.
The Schuberth SC2 system was at a very atractive price. The purchase arrived very promptly excellently packaged. Purchased from SportsBikeShop before always with excellent value and service..
I bought this to fit my new helmet. Easy to fit into the helmet. Once synced with my sat nav and phone worked well with clear easy to hear speech. I have only used once so far, lots more to explore. Seems a well thought out and useful product. Great price and delivery from Sportsbikeshop.
Well made and easy to install. The instructions from the Schuberth website is much easier to read.
It could be louder when using earplugs.
Importantly this is with iPhone 12 mini on iOS 18.0.1, and specifically for 2021 BMW F850GSA with TFT on original firmware.
Yes, it does allow volume control with the Wunderwheel!!! Yes it works well with Siri. Firmware updater is dated but functional. App is decent. Physical installation is easy.
But the Bluetooth connections were difficult. I believe it's because I wanted to run this system with the BMW connected app.
I got it to work right eventually but if I had to do it again then…
1. Connect Sc2 to mobile phone using SECOND mobile phone pairing. Do your sc2 setup in the app like setting bass to maximum. Then delete this Bluetooth connection entirely. Only re-pair Sc2 to mobile phone again if you've got settings to change. Otherwise keep this un-paired.
2. Go to the bike tft and pair bike to phone like normal, and pair bike to rider helmet using the FIRST mobile phone pairing on sc2. Yes this is counterintuitive but you have think of the tft as the mobile phone now.
3. Can the sc2 handle having connection to tft and having connection to mobile phone in second pairing at the same time…yes… but it turns your system into a raging schizophrenic and some or all functionality is lost as connections fight to assert who's boss!
Ultimately, end result is almost brilliant having tested with music and phone calls. I am glad I have upgraded to this system.
Untested so far with intercom and mesh, not enough mates nearby to ride with.
Bought with the C5 lid, this was childsplay to fir and setup, no need to start removing linings or routing wires. So far the sound quality and VOX operation have been great. Does way more than I need, but good to have.
Very easy to install and to use. The only issue I have is that it is on the quite side but the extra features make up for that
Just brilliant, let's you listen to your music or podcasts in crystal clear definition, or chat away to your mates like they are stood next to you.
Love it, transforms trips with partners or friends into a much more sociable event.
Can warn ride partners of dangers or comment on the sudden amazing vista. Or chuckle at them when make an error.
I bought the SC2 system along with the C5 helmet as I didn't want to faff about installing my Cardo system into the helmet.
The SC2 literally takes about 1 minute to install.
The app installs as usual but finding the correct software to download for updates to your computer/laptop is a bit of a nightmare. There's no direct link so you have to searching for it.
I haven't tried out all of the mesh features on the system but my first impressions are that it is a lot quieter than my Cardo system. I have to have everything maxed out volume-wise. I do wear earplugs which clearly make a difference but my Cardo system was never over 75%.
I like to choose the volume rather than have to put up with what I'm given.
The system is a bit fiddly. You have to turn on and off the base unit and control unit separately. Bit of a faff but that's the way it is. I found the buttons very difficult to use while wearing gloves and had to stop to make some adjustments.
It's a lot of money for an average comms system. I'm sure the if you use the system to its full potential you'll get more out of it.
If not, just transfer your existing equipment.
Very happy so far with this. Easy to install on my C5 helmet & connected to my phone instantly. It was trickier to link to my BMW F750 bike and app. All sorted, now and only been on a couple of rides with it. So I'm playing with various volume levels to suit my riding speed/style. Not used the intercom or Mesh yet.
It's a very neat installation as you'd expect being a dedicated unit and integrates well with a Schuberth lid that's also a quality item. The 2 together really do look like a well thought out setup and on a helmet that's mainly matt grey, almost invisible, but in a good way.
It has decent sound, but a bit quiet through earplugs, although nothing unexpected there! The microphone boom sits too close to my chin, so I'm working up an alternative there as I don't really use the mic much anyway. This is for satnav directions and music from the phone.
To keep things simple I have only paired to my phone. I'm sure it does clever things on a BMW, but not in my use-case.
The remote is powered by an internal coin type cell and needs to be powered off independently of the main unit, so 2 things to power on and off each time. Only the main is rechargeable (USB-C). A bit of a faff TBH and either are too easily turned on accidentally when carrying the lid around, leading to flat batteries. A quick tap of the lightweight control buttons will do it.
Overall, it's a very neat set-up, but if the lid wasn't pre-wired, I wouldn't have bothered with this one and certainly not at full price. I got this on offer and with the lid, so an additional 16% off that just tipped it into the worthwhile bracket.
