How do you fit the silencer? Can it be fitted while the exhaust is attached to the bike or does it need to come off first?

The silencer is not available as a separate item, Options one and two are for full systems, and option 3 is the Akrapovic optional catalytic converter insert for the stainless steel system.

I have a Yamaha xsr 700 xtribute, this being my third yam 700, the others mto7 and a tracer, exhaust system purchased is carbon race (pig tail) system a little more awkward to fit as I had to spread the header pipes and the main mounting plate needed a slight adjustment (bending) so the muffler mount bolt clears swinging arm. As a whole I think the system quality is not as good as previous Akro, system was purchased at a very good price through sportsbikeshop price match, a saving £200, excellent service.

MT 07 - Akrapovic Titanium

Firstly, great service, delivery and communications as always from SBS!
The exhaust was packaged very well and once unpackaged is a work of art in itself. The installation was relatively straight forward and I used the stock gaskets (new bike, less than 100 miles). Had it more miles on the stock exhaust I would also have replaced the gaskets, but these do not come with the exhaust.
Packaging also includes a small tube of copper paste for the sensor.
Baffle still in, does sound lovely and not obnoxious, the usual youtube videos you may have watched just don't capture the true sound. I intend on removing the baffle to see how that sounds of course, but will see whether I put it back in or leave out. Apparently after a few hundred miles with the baffle in the sound beds in too and becomes even more prominent, but will see how that pans out.
All in all, it's pricey, but well worth it over the stock exhaust for the smile!

Better than expected!

After watching countless videos on loads of akrapovic exhaust systems, then plucking up the courage to spend the money on a full system, I can definitely say it's money well spent. It's amazing!! Massive smiles on the face every time I'm out riding, the sound is incredible and totally transforms the bike and riding experience.

Excellent & Efficient Service

Ordered the Akrapovic Titanium exhaust online and it arrived the next day. The box it came in had been damaged in several places. Once the box was opened, all parts were un-damaged due to the good quality wrapping around the parts. Exhaust was very easy to fit and an instruction booklet is provided. The exhaust is the best quality I've seen from an aftermarket exhaust and the sound with the baffle in, is just the right note for me. Would definitely buy an Akrapovic.

Bought the carbon for my XSR700. Fit pretty simply although instruction would have been nicer if they were a bit more detailed. But I found some decent YouTube videos to help me along the way.

The Sound seems decent, loud and throaty but not blow your ear drums.

Really happy with the exhaust. Sports bike shop shipped it straight away despite the delays with Covid. Think I had it the next day!! The exhaust looks and sounds brilliant. Sounds better in person than what you hear on YouTube. I went for this over the titanium due to the price. Make sure you order new gaskets and and whatever else you may need to fit this. Word of advice, if the bolts on the exhaust header have any rust when fitting make sure you know what you're doing (previous owner left it out in the rain). I managed to snap one off but luckily got this sorted and I am really please with the end product. I can't stress how much this improves the sound from the stock exhaust. Loud with the baffle in!!

fitment is perfect. Install was easy and comes with copper anti-seize which is a helpful for the people with less experience with maintenance on bikes etc. the manual is easy to follow with pictures for each step. Tells you where and when to apply anti-seize and specific torque for all fasteners. Finally, the most important, it sounds amazing! not too loud on idle or when cruising. But loud when you pin it. Highly recommend.

Then all topped off with the super fast delivery and service from sportsbikeshop. 5 out of 5 for product and service

The exhaust looks and sounds incredible, videos don't do it justice. It's expensive, and there are other good quality exhausts out there for a lot less hence only 4 stars. I opted for this one as sportsbikeshop were offering it at a great discounted price.

The quality of the product is seen straight away from the packaging. The quality of the exhaust is seen in the Carbon Fibre weave and the lightness of the system. Smooth welds on the stainless steel and the sound quality of the exhaust when fitted is next to none. I highly recommend this exhaust

The pipe is beautiful and does look amazing. It comes with the baffle installed which is a bit of an eyesore compared to running no baffle. The only benefit to having the baffle in is that your ears drums don't rupture when you blip the throttle. I suppose it is also good to make use of it if you live in a residential area and don't want a horde of angry people with pitchforks chasing you. Regardless, I choose to risk that so thought I'd write this review prior to be spitroasted by the locals. The only con to this exhaust is the price. It costs a lot but you'll love each minute riding with it so just suck it up and rinse your wallet!

Fantastic exhaust system sounds and looks great! with dB killer out only bad bit is the hassle getting DB killer out you may need to borrow or purchase a bearing puller and remove the screw first. Would highly recommend this system...

Amazing sound. Took the DB-killer out because it was a little too quiet to my liking before. What a difference! With the DB-killer out it sounds mad... Definitely the best mod anyone can ever do to their MT-07. Highly recommended!

Quality service from Sportsbikeshop, I ordered this item over the phone as they had not got my original order in stock for another three weeks, so I substituted it for the Akrapovic carbon which came the very next day in time for my birthday. Very easy to fit with comprehensive instructions. Once fitted to the Bike I started it up and nearly had an orgasm, sounds absolutely awesome. Very loud and gets you noticed in traffic. I did take the baffle out before I fitted it, put it back in for a day, removed it again when I got home. Missed the bark it makes with it out. Definitely recommend this item and the service provided by Sportsbikeshop.
