I got the other ring mount when I bought my Quad Lock kit. The one that snaps in and orients in the up, down, left, right positions, all of which are awkward to my grip. I could have put up with it but then after only a few weeks, the hinge went floppy. I thought this MAG one would be too bulky but it is a far superior product. The magnet is more than strong enough, it can orient in any direction, the ring is larger and has a sleek feel that doesn't protrude. It is expensive, but if it lasts, I think it was worth it.
