Givi SRA5117 Monokey Aluminium Adaptor Plate - BMW R1200 R/S / 1250 R/S

Ok but needed to find spacers as four of the six bolts were too long - else would have to cut the bolts down. Others have had the same issue.

I used a few metal washers on four of the six bolts so there was no play.

I expected better quality for the money and would have been totally annoyed if I didn't have the washers to hand.

Now it's on it's not going anywhere and looks ok with the box off.

Does not come with tools - requires a torx bit.

It's a good bit of kit, but as others have said, when fitting to a BMW the two rearmost screws are too long and have to have three threads taken off the end, would have thought Givi would send the correct size ones

I bought this after my previous Givi rack was smashed in an accident. I fitted the BMW rear rack and this adapter plate so that I could fit a Givi aluminium top box. This plate is a really solid piece of kit and only takes about 5 minutes to fit. Well worth fitting as the Givi box latches into place really well. The usual excellent next day delivery service from Sportsbikeshop too.

Easy to fit a solid quality item that allows me to fit my monokey topbox

If I need something luggage related and Givi have it, it's a done deal, even better if I can pop to my local SBS and try before I buy. The top box rack was no exception, feels solid, looks great and fixed in place in less than 5 minutes.

This Givi plate made it possible to mount my large Kappa Top Box to my R1250RS & it is solidly mounted now. I did however need to use an extra washer on the 2 rear most bolts as otherwise they would have been too long .

Fitted fairly easily, just had to shorten the two rear screws by a couple of mm, hacksaw soon cured if. Box feels very secure. Sportsbikeshop very fast delivery, as usual. Thanks.

Whilst the quality is not in question from GIVI, but BMW have slightly altered the level of the bikes carrier position. So the current Monokey plate needs longer distance pieces. AS an engineer I had no propblem, but this smallest of issues needs to be attanded to and the existingdistance pieces all the plate to clamp on teh bikes rear frame and can chip the paint work. The top box is perfect, but GIVI needs to look again at the R1250 RS fitting. But the best ws the DPD delivery, no wasting time you knew by the hour then the 10 minute slot. The overall experice was brill

Easy to fit. Easy to use. Easy to purchase. The monokey system by givi is the best solution to fitting a top box to a bike. I have used my top box on three different manufacturers all I have had to do is fit the plate and away we go

R1200R as previously mentioned you need to overcome the rear two bolts being too long. I purchased two bolts at 35mm to fix issue.

Good plate, well made, delivered on time, there were 2 bolts toooooo long they bottomed out and became tight before touching the plate, cut 3 threads off each bolt, problem solved :)

As long as you ensure that your bike has the standard BMW rear rack, then the Givi Adaptor Plate fixes directly on to it. You need to remove the small plastic protective cover first.It also fits the BMW R1250R and RS. It is an excellent piece of kit.

Absolutely solid, works great and looks good but like the other reviews I'm knocking a star off for Givi not sorting the long bolt scandal..you will need to replace or saw the end off.
