Givi SL101 Single Security Lock Kit

I got this after breaking one of the keys that came with the standard lock (and struggling to get a replacement). It was easy to fit and the security keys are much more robust than the originals.

I'd highly recommend this for anybody who has a Givi case... if you still have the original keys there is no drilling required.

Lost both. keys to my Trekker box 2 days before trading the bike in. SBS had replacement lock to me next day. Bit of a faff to drill out old lock and fit but worked perfectly.

This product arrived well packaged and with clear instructions for fitting. It was required to replace the original which had to be drilled out because I lost both keys.

A straight replacement for the original lock that had to be drilled out after i locked my spare key (in my wallet) inside! It took a locksmith 3/4 hr to open the lid so a testimony to how strong the lockset is.
As other reviews, make sure to re-fit the spring and ball bearing.

Looking at what came with the lock I thought it was going to be a difficult job, but as I was only replacing the lock itself as this had been damaged by an attempted theft, as it turns out it was really easy, just a word of warning, be careful about any springs and small ball bearings as they can disappear

Easy to fit and saved having to buy a new top box. Only fiddly bit was working out how the ball bearing and spring bit worked, but that ended up being very straight forward in the end.

Lost a key to Givi topbox, so ordered replacement lock.
Easy fit, well made but only 2 keys supplied. 3 keys would be better, so only rated as 4

Genuine Givi replacement part and was quite easy to drill out the old lock carefully and fit this. The only thing to bear in mind is that there is a ball bearing and spring that will pop out when removing the old mechanism (behind the rotating circular plastic bit) and you will need to recover this and replace it before fitting the new mechanism.
