Recent price reduction on plain colour led to my purchase to replace my Arai Quantic, although I did try other brands before settling on the RX7. Usual Arai quality, comfort and most importantly fit clinched it for me. However, you must put up with Arai's quirkiness with visor removal. Was it worth the extra couple of hundred quid over the Quantic - No way, that's why I only give 4*

The best lid on the market

Having owned a 2013 RX7gp by Arai which was until now the best lid I have ever had, the RX7Vevo has raised the bar again.
Arai lids fit me better than Shoei, it's always been that way.
I started with a Quantum2 back in the 90s and I've had Arai ever since.
More recently a Chaser hutchy rep which being a good lid wasn't quite up the the RX7 perfection.
The new RX7Vevo is refined, lighter and in the race rep models spectacular in finish.
These lids can be a little noisy this is the only down side I can report of - in the interest of offering a worth while review.
The new visor system is good, pin lock recess is good and ventilation as with all RX7s is excellent.
Sizing fits well across the Arai range as usual.
Sportsbikeshop offer the diffuser as a freebie when ordering and next day delivery

this is my 3rd ARAI and the first RX7V undoubtedly saved me from a serious head injury when a !!@@cc car just entered a dual carriageway without looking !! I hit the road at about 70 mph and suffered a few fractures as a result!!
from the box, this Arai fits me like a glove and you just have to take a careful look as to just how this quality helmet is built and assembled !!, absolutely the best out there !!, ok maybe a bit pricey at £699 but sportsbikeshop included a smoked visor and a rear diffuser !!, there may be cheaper out there but ask your self this question !! Do you want the best out there and how much do you value your mind hey !!
Sportsbikeshop again excelled in their quick delivery and customer service being a many times customer of them can't fault them as I give this 5 stars for the ARAI and for the quality service that you get with SPORTS BIKE SHOP

I have had Arai helmets all my biking life 34 years! I had the RX-7V model previously but the new evo is a step up. Whilst is is hard to see the differences it is a perfect fit for me and has improved in the ventilation and quietness areas which is amazing achievement.
Well worth the money!

Top of the line arai I now see why people rate them so highly, the fit is perfect for me the venting is great and it's quieter than my xlite 803 rs that I just replaced .

Cracking helmet with great features, looks stunning. Superb fit, loads of cooling vents, price is a little hefty but you get what you pay for. One down side, wish it had a quick release chin strap, old d ring style can be a little fiddly but a minor complaint

I've upgraded my Arai RX-7 to the evo model. I have been an Arai man most of my biking life. This new model is an upgrade and superb. I'm very happy with the design which matches my Urban Tiger perfectly. It even came with a free aero spoiler.

Great lid

My first Arai lid. Purchased my usual size and fits well. It does seem tight when taking off compared to other helmets that I've had in the past. Quality and finish is a cut about (compared to my previous HJCs rphas and Scorpio R1 Air). Good aero and low wind noise to boot.

After 20 years with shoei I decided to change to arai and so glad I did, extremely comfortable barely know it's on, quiet compared to what I've had and the build quality is second to none.
I didn't have a problem with the visor lock just watched a YouTube vid and there is a knack to it.
Highly recommend.
