Snug on a KTM 390 Adventure
12 February 2025 by Richard S
I purchased this for my 390 Adventure and it does a great job of keeping it protected. It's a nice soft stretch material and the bike is always nice and dry when I uncover it each morning. It was a bit short at the front with the standard mirrors but with my food down ones it's just right.

Oxford protex Stretch outdoor bike cover

Have had a few Oxford motorcycle covers over the years thay seem to last forever the only reason I need to buy a new one is when I buy a bigger bike. Excellent quality don't need to change brands as Oxford covers suit my needs.

Good for a few years.

This is my 2nd one in 13 years for my ZX6R Ninja (size large) its a great cover however after several years of use the seams for the plastic number plate cover and solar charger cover came away exposing parts of the bike to the elements, I must stress that this was after about 8 years of use and I was more than happy to purchase another one as I still think its the best on the market.

It a high quality cover. It costs more than normal, but withstood storm Eowyn without a single tear or anything else. As far as I can tell, that is high praise.

The protex stretch is the best cover Oxford have ever made. I've had 8 others over the years.
Fits like a glove and a nice touch is the elasticated bottom.

BMW R1250GS Outdoor cover
09 November 2024 by Kevin H
My new cover does exactly as I was advised it would at the Boston shop. It covers both my top box and Vario panniers when not on the expanded style. The cover is made of excellent quality and it gives me confidence that my new cover will give me many years of good use. Thank you sportsbikeshop Boston HQ for your brilliant customer service and invaluable advice.

Amazing Soft Cover
23 October 2024 by Josh K
Based on initial impressions this is a huge improvement over the Oxford Rainex Deluxe I purchased from Sports Bike Shop last year. It's made of soft stretchy fabric with a microfibre like internal liner.

The Rainex had a red fabric liner that snagged on every single component on the bike and was a massive pain. This cover is much easier to fit and doesn't seem to snag in the same way. Time will tell if it holds up better but initial impressions are it's worth the extra cost if you're trying to decide between the 2 covers.

Solar charger fitted in the pocket and does a good job of keeping the battery topped up too.

Optional removable internal liner to reveal numberplate if you need to park on the road too which isn't present on the Rainex model.

Excellent quality

Bought this as I expected a thorough cover for my Africa Twin as it stretches and should cover my top box too. If you have a top box then half the bike is not covered
The material and build quality is truly excellent and highly recommended.

Excellent cover. I bought xl for nc750x with top box and panniers. Didn't quite fit. Can see the back wheel. Will fit without the panniers. The cover itself is thick with nice inner. Be careful or the plastic screens will rip over time.

Great outdoor cover!
19 August 2024 by Chris L
I have two Protex outdoor covers, one of which is now 2 years old for my GS1200. They have easily outlasted any other brand of cover i have used and the material is definitely up to all weather challenges. No wear or tear at all in the years i have been using them and still extremely waterproof. There are no seam or tape tears as experienced on other types of cover. Far more superior to the Stormex in my opinion as well.

Good thick quality covers

This is the second of these I have had, the first one was XL and a perfect fit on Triumph Sprint. That lasted 3 years- maybe I could have waterproofed it again but I got a smaller bike. This time was a Large to fit a Royal Enfield Interceptor having first tried a medium. Look forward to another 3 years from this one. They are good thick material that keep all the weather out

Good cover

Good cover. Nice material and fits over my Street Scrambler well. Number plate window on the back catches on the number plate every time though which is slightly annoying. Usual top service from Sportbikeshop though.

Extra large Protex Cover.
23 March 2024 by David F
Much bigger than the large cover that I used previously. Because it is bigger it puts less-strain on the mirrors .The previous cover started to let the rain through over the winter but it was four years old. I find these protex covers really good as they are breathable yet keep the weather out.
