Shad SR38 Cafe Racer Pannier Black - 10 Litre

Nice looking bag fitted on a Triumph Scrambler 900.

It did look and seem a bit odd to me only having the one bag to begin with, but I got used to it and I now quite like it. Great size and low profile so does not hinder filtering like actual panniers would. Just a handy little baggy.

I have had a few people now getting my attention to let me know that I've lost a pannier.

Took the time to begin with explaining and showing them the location of the exhaust and reasoning behind it etcetera, etcetera.
But it's a nice looking bike that draws the eye and seems to ignite some form of nostalgia in a lot of people and you end up stuck for half an hour politely listening to tales of how someone on their street had a triumph and would put them on the tank and go up and down the street when they were a kid. So on and so forth.

It's now quicker to make a shocked/ sad face and say
'Oh no! Admiral Kit-Kat. How did I not notice? I must leave with haste and retrace my steps and hope the higher feline powers protect him.'

The capacity is perfect for my small tool roll, puncture tools with a small compressor and leaves just enough space for a pair of throw over Waterproofs and spare gloves.

I have not used the plastic condom provided for water protection as the internal is a roll top dry bag and carrying it around takes up valuable space.
The exterior material eventually drys out. Hopefully this cycle of wet/ dry doesn't rot or degrade the bags outer material over time.

The only annoying niggle I found with this bag is that it does not clip on/ off the bracket without the key. You must lock the bag onto the bracket frame.

The bag is small and designed to be unclipped and used as a messenger sling (Ideal so you don't leave your belongings accessible to opportunistic theives).

I am going to take my bag off the bike any time I plan to leave it out of sight so the lock is somewhat redundant. Other than additional security preventing the bag falling off on the road it just means I have one more key to carry around, potentially lose, drop, forget what pocket or safe place I put it.

Overall quite happy with this bag for carrying the everyday things I take with me.
I am not using this bike for touring so this small bag is sufficient and in keeping with the looks of the bike.

The bracket took about five minutes to fit and mounting/ un-mounting the bag is simple and smooth (Other than the key thing mentioned above)
