Very convenient tracker

I wanted a tracker that wasn't hard wired into my bike, one I could use on other bikes, very accurate local given, the app is easy to use, a price to pay to ensure you can local you bike the those scumbags b@@tard ever try to nick my bike.

Reliable signal, good app and clear alerts … but

As trackers go it does what it says on the tin with regard reliable connection and tracking, too early to report on battery life. Size is circa 90mm x 30 x 20 so concealment is the issue, coupled with securing (just one cable-tie hole). In its naked form it’s obvious and easily removed. Think about where it will go and disguise it. I ended up 3D printing a case that discusses and allows a good covert position. If you can’t do this think again because there is no detachment alert.

After some research, I decided to buy the tracker compared to others on the market. It arrived the following day. I followed the instructions but could not get it to activate. 2 hours with the Monimoto helpdesk wasn't able to sort things. I phoned the Boston SBS store the following day and spoke with Chris Pegley, within minutes we had the returns label emailed. I returned it same day, on receipt, it was checked and another tracker sent and received up in Aberdeenshire within 48 hours. This one was perfect and fitted in minutes. Good bit of kit that calls my phone if the bike is moved with my keys a few yards away which gives peace of mind that if someone gets into my garage and starts to steal my bike, my phone rings and I'm out at the bike in 30 seconds which will give the potential thief something to consider......In conclusion, well made tracker, good price, easy and straightforward instructions and excellent customer service for SBS.

Great little device

Got this because I needed it for various machines, currently on my bike and it's working well. It's plenty small enough to hide out of the 'obvious' places and it was easy to set up. It sends me messages to let me know it's ok and I've tested it by moving the bike without the fob and phone and it all seems to work as expected.

The monimoto arrived well packaged. It's a nice simple bit of kit that's easy to set up and install.
The tracker sends you a confirmation text message each day to say the system is set and ready.
If you don't want all the bells and whistles that some other trackers have then this is probably for you.
I hope I never have to track my bike, and it just gives me piece of mind.

Straight forward, I have used a Monimoto5 for 3 yrs now and it is a great piece of kit never let me down, so decided to upgrade to the new MM9 as we all know technology moves on, I had 9 months still on my SIM card but an email to Monimoto and it was transferred onto my new E-SIM so as far as I am concerned a great piece of kit old or new. Designed for the bike/biker and cost effective too. Get one it helps you know when the unexpected is happening to your pride and joy and all £36 a year. BARGIN

How long will the battery last before the unit needs replacing
January 22, 2025Monimoto 9 comes with a 900mAh rechargeable Lithium battery. This battery is not meant to be replaced, do not attempt to disassemble M9 device and remove the battery. The Monimoto 9 battery can last up to 12 months on a charge.
Can the battery be replaced when it no longer retains charge? If yes, what is the cost of a replacement battery?
