Kappa K30NT Monolock Top Case - 30 Litre

20 years riding and this is my first ever box. Have nothing to compare it to. Bought the box knowing nothing about top boxes. Hopefully my opinion won't be useless.
This box has a plate with a fixing system which is not perfect. It's simple and gets the job done, and it's probably the result of trial and error and opting for the simple solution that works. Could be better, but not a negative point.
The box itself is well built and of good quality. The thing I don't like about it is the locking mechanism. Opening the lid is not a problem. Closing it, the latch has to be manually positioned so it's not preventing the lid to close.
Also to remove the box from the plate is a chore. Turning the key to press the button releases the entire locking mechanism. It is not practical. I believe the Givi version of this box is a much better option just for this (Internet research, not factual knowledge).
Riding with the box is strange. I can't feel anything different and I do forget about it. When I do remember I'm riding with a box, I can't see it on the rear view mirrors. Scary, have I lost it? Caused an accident? No. It's still there.
It has no rubber seal and for that the lid rattles annoyingly.
Used I high pressure water jet to wash it and everything inside was kept dry. Rain shouldn't be a problem.
Inside i can fit a chain lock, a full face helmet, size L, and winter gloves with room to spare, or a more racing shaped full face helmet (and maybe gloves), but no off-road helmet. Or more than a couple days groceries.
