- Long grooves enhance traction when accelerating, especially on low friction surfaces
- Short grooves prevent lateral movement and increase stability when breaking
- Groove orientation follows of wear - wave lines to ensure regular tread consumption
- Groove design and pitch tuned to leverage on a high land - sea ratio
