Hiplok DX1000 D-Lock

This has to be one of the vents locks out there, yes it's not cheap but it's not cheap for a reason .its a lump of a lock and worth every penny!

Easy to open and close shackle, quite heavy to lug around though. Wont't fit around a 190/50 back wheel, but goes around front instead.

Fantastic piece of kit. You can feel the quality and the locking mechanism is very secure. Fits my tiger 1050 spot on. I know they are not cheap but you can see exactly what you're paying for. Great service again from Sportsbike shop.

Wow this locks a lump!!! It'll withstand a lot of abuse and any attempt to cut it according to the adverts. It's nicely finished in a black rubberised sleeve so it won't harm the paintwork and protects the lock from the weather. All in all I'm very impressed

Always been dealing with sportsbikeshop 17 years I've been buying from them I've spent another £1000 on dx1000 lock and a shoei helmet will also buy another shoei helmet for my wife, excellent service

This one is a great lock. So simple to use yet so strong that fends the potential thieves away. I recently had my e-bike stolen worth £1500. I regretted not using a good quality locks. I recently bought a motorbike and after doing a bit of a research I finally found the lock that I can rely on and get a peace of mind. In the market right now I believe the DX1000 is one of the best anti-grinder D-lock you can get.

Bought this lock for a Scandinavia trip, used it to secure the back wheel of my motorbike, looks the business..but hopefully never tested..

Hope I never have to find out how good this D lock is but purchased the item after reviewing independent tests showing the Hiplock DX1000 to be the most resilient to attack. This helps give reassurance the lock may be a deterrent against the theft of my bike.

After reading several reviews, including thorough testing on Bennett's Social, I bought the DX-1000 lock from Sportsbikeshop. The lock feels like a quality product and is certainly useful to take with you in a tail pack (eg), giving confidence that your steed can be well protected during your coffee stop. Back home, it is a great addition to the sold secure ground anchor, protecting my bike as much as I reasonably can. My only disappointment (at the time of writing) is that even after Bennett's glowing report, when insuring through Bennett's I was told that it was not on their list of acknowledged security products to count towards discount. Common Bennett's, keep up!

Really good lock easy to use and very strong

big strong lock - i also have the smaller 1000 lock as well both bikes now better protected this larger one fits right over a goldwing wheel and tyre - its a beast

Great product which is sturdy and secure. It also has a diamond powered bike rating which is amazing! SBS also matched a bundle on the Hiplock website which was brilliant!!

Hope that this D-Lock works as it is advertised should it get attacked!!
My concern is, It is made in China!!!
This is worrying for me, outsourced cheap labour for max profit by Hiplok. I wouldn't have purchased this had I known. Made In Britain Or Germany different story. Not Happy, I don't like Chinese stuff.

Hard to say just how good it is without the inevitable happening.
Very sturdy and a great quality bit of kit. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. I would recommend
