Oxford Boss Alarm 16mm Padlock - Black

OK, first things first, lets dispel the advertising hype about this alarm, and the fact it has an ear-splittingly loud 100bB alarm. This alarm when activated, will not have that person rolling around the floor in agony trying to cover his or her ears. What it will do is alert you, or somebody else, with a convenient Baseball bat to go and see what's going on. The lock looks like it's very well made, and should stand up to some significant abuse, before giving up the ghost. ( If it ever would that is ) The one disappointing thing about this lock is that it's made in Taiwan. Oxford as we all know is a British company, and it would have been nice to have read, " Made in Britain ".
It's a solid bit of kit, that you wouldn't want to drop on your foot. The big bonus as well, is the fact that it comes with a free, 1.5 metre chain. So this then gives you more options on how to put this lock to use, and as another plus point, the Sporstbike shop is £20 cheaper than anyone else I tried, so what's not to like. And as always you can't fault the service you get from Sportsbikeshop.

Bought this for the padlock, the chain was a bonus. After being burgled and my car nicked I've upped the security on my garage so adding these to the chains and padlocks already fitted make me feel a bit better. Feels like a solid piece of kit and sounds loud in the garage.

Brought this boss lock and chain for going touring next year for extra security, they seem strong enough but the alarm on the lock isn't as loud as expected, hopefully they never get tested. Sportsbikeshop were fantastic as ever with delivery, my first stop for all my stuff
