Bought this to replace one of the older single channel controllers.
Great piece of kit, just need to figure where to put the velcro pad on the bike to male it easily accessible on the move!
Easy to use and provides coloured indication of heat level.

Excellent bit of kit I have the full range of gerbing gear jacket /gloves trousers wouldnt buy anything less the controller gets the heat setting to the right temp for my trousers

Although I've only used it once with my jacket/pants there are a few things I don't like.The pocket that it goes into is too small for the unit and the extremely stiff wiring.Also the control unit requires a single press not a press and hold to either switch the heating on or change the settings,the button sits proud of the unit and I've found that with it and the wiring all in one small pocket it is easy to inadvertently switch it off or change the heat settings.

I'm using this with the optimate connector and it controls the heat to the jacket perfectly, just a little too much cable which I tuck into the pocket of my textile trousers.

Gerbing single controller

Firstly after spending approx£200 on my jacket I was a little surprised that I had to buy a separate controller however it does work well although its quality down t have the same,feel, as the jacket which is awesome thank you gerbing I've told all my mates to buy one!!

Required to connect the heated jacket to your jacket and control the heat, if you will purchase the gloves fro not buy it but another one allowing the double connection / control. Very easy and simple to use. Recommend

Essential for the jacket

Can't imagine how hot the jacket would get without this controller! I made the mistake of activating level 3 before starting the bike so the jacket wasn't getting full power from the battery. Once the bike was running I've only used level 1 and that's been very snug down to 5c.

Didn't think I would need the Temperature Controller as the jacket wouldn't get too hot but boy was I wrong. First time out I had to stop and the jacket off because I was getting to hot. This controller brings out the full potential of the jacket.

Fantastic product: your really do need it: the jacket is astonishingly hot! Very easy to use, obvious colour coding for temperatures and can be operated with gloves. Very effective and quick to vary the temperature: 3 very long trips and regulated the temperature easily and quickly along the way: highly recommend.

Such a simple device that adds a new dimension to those chilly mornings or as you climb through some of the higher mountain passes. Click 1. Turns the jacket on to 25% heat. Click 2. Gives you 50% heat. Click 3. 75% heat.
Click 4. Dunno, never had to use it, click it again and the jacket is off. Simple quality built unit, should have used these years ago.

Easily attached to a bike and with the addition of bright lights it is simple and quick to use. Durable in all kinds of weather and the wire is long enough for a comfortable amount of movement and strong enough to withstand being pulled.

Better than the one with adjusting knob. Waterproof, simple bright readable colors, last used setting memory. Strong cable when get off the bike forgetting it, very light, flashing with low battery.

- Digital controller insures that your heated clothing uses only as much power as requested
- Wires are UL listed and completely safe in all weather conditions
- You can simply attach the controller on the bike by using a piece of hook and loop.
The single portable temperature controller developed by Gerbing is designed to be used for the 12 volt heated jacket, 12 volt heated pants and the 12 volt heated socks. The single controller looks almost the same as a junior controller but the cable is a lot shorter. Just connect the single controller directly to the 12 volt battery cable and to the connection plug of the heated jacket, heated vests and trousers. Just push the round button for a few seconds and the light will turn red. With the round button you can lower the temperature as you see fit.
The single portable temperature controller is designed with a last setting memory, you can automatically recall the last heating setting when you reconnect to the power source. To activate this memory you just disconnect it rather than turn it off.
Questions and Answers
I've been looking at the Gerbing heated clothing and have a few questions about which controller I should buy, If I have the vest, trousers, socks and gloves do I require two dual controllers to manage the temperature on each item, readung the specs it's telling me I understand I need a dual controller to control the Jacket and Gloves, and I would need another dual controller to control the trousers and socks, is this right? January 17, 2019We can confirm that you only require one Dual Temperature Controller for this set up, as the gloves, trousers and socks run off the same wiring loom inside the jacket. Therefore the heating on the latter 3 garments will have to be run at the same temperature. Please ensure that the correct fuse is used on the battery loom before installation.
