Gerbing 12V Junior Temperature Controller

I bought this to replace my old one that broke. They have updated the design very slightly, including changing the coating/material of the wire sheath, which is now what I consider a bit rubbery and causes it to stick/cling to the inside of the arm of my jacket when I need to pull out the connector to attach it to my gloves. The old cables flowed easily through my jacket arms as they had a shiny and glossy finish. Not a huge problem, however, when pulling from the connector at the wrist every day I can predict it will be a potential breaking point given the force now required.

It's generally a great bit of kit and I seem to wear out or every 3 years (wires break inside) but it's cheap enough to replace as I have done.
I've had the gloves for over 10 years and this us the 3rd controller. Always great service from sportsbikeshop.

Seems to have more robust cables than the original type. Easy to use to control heated gloves and reliable so far..

Controller is excellent, however unlike my original item supplied with the gloves, the power lead is very short necessitating the purchase of an extension lead to avoid having the Controller flapping in the wind. I tried a universal co-ax but power feed was an odd size.

Revised wiring harness and plug design. I am expecting this controller to last longer than the last which was approx 3 years

Delivered quicker than expected and has been redesigned with heavier gauge wiring and a separate splitter so hopefully should last longer than my original one.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do.
Keep my hands warm. Simple to use, you just plug and play.

Bought as a replacement and much better than the original controller. Better made and longer cables making it easier to use.

On offer for practically half price,took a bit longer than normal for delivery but bought as spare as mine showing signs of wear but still working

The only thing tht stops me giving this five stars is thst the last one I had only lasted a couple of years. however, I think this model has been replaced by a newer one now.

I like this one coz its cheap and easy to use (for me anyway) once the "higher levels" have been unlocked.

Heated gloves are a must, you cannot go back after these. The controller is a simple to use well thought design. I bought a new one as the ever excellent Sportsbikeshop had a good offer. Only one small point is that if you move around on the bike a bit, you occassionally press the button between your leg and the fuel tank, which alters the heat setting, but this is really easy to remedy, just press the button again.

My original Gerbing Junior Controller worked fine, unless it rained. Gerbing themselves could find no fault with it, but it would always be ok after drying out. I bit the bullet and bought a replacement from Sportsbikeshop, and found a couple of improvements in the new one. Most importantly the wiring that supplies the gloves now terminates in a sealed junction block rather than both going directly to the controller, thus halving the fault liability. Also the gauge of the wiring is thicker, or at least the insulation is thicker, which is another plus. I've only marked this as a 4 purely because,although we've had plenty of rain, I've had no reason to ride in it yet.

It is what it is, excellent at controlling the heat on my Gerbring gloves .
A must have in the winter months .

Straightforward to use, just a bit fiddly to get the gloves sealed around the wires.

Old one broken wire after 7 years. Replaced with new and as expected working as good if not better than the old one before it broke.
