Fit perfect on my cbr500r, very easy to install. Took 10/15mins Like some reviews fit the top box plate first. Then fix to the bike. Does what it's meant to do

Quality part but doesn't fit with cowl

This is a good after market part. Durable and sturdy. I like how the frame incorporates handles for pillion.
my CBR 500 had the seat cowl installed and it did not fit over the rack.
After a call to the shop they asked me to try with the pillion seat only, which it did fit.
The instructions didn't state this and it took some time to think whetherr I had done something wrong.
Once I knew it would only fit with the seat it took a matter of minutes.
TIP. If you are fitting a plate on the rack, do this before you fit on the bike. Makes things a lot easier.

Even more sturdy than the CBR125/250 rack. This is made from 20mm steel tube with no holes/bungs for water to enter and rust from the inside. Fits my existing 30L monolock box and the larger ones too. I wish it was a little wider to take larger bags, pizzas etc, but then I suppose you'd never park it. A doddle to fix. I did it in the dark - really. You will need a 12mm socket.
You DON'T need the mounting plate. That comes with the top box.
Tip:- if you buy the box at the same time, its simpler to mount the plate to the rack before you mount the rack to the bike.

Easy to fit

Fitted to my CB 500FA - easy dropped straight on. My only quibble, is the method of fixing the base plate. It took ages to align, got there in the end, but could do with a more positive system.

This is a well made and substantial product which, in the main, is straight forward to fit - its a little bit tricky attaching the base plate to the rack using the mounting brackets. That aside I was very pleased with the end result.
