A really useful tank mounted bag

The F800GT is different from other bikes in that the petrol tank is located under the seat and as such there is no filler cap in the usual position on which to mount a tank bag.
GIVI have come up with a simple and very effective solution to allow the use of their "tank lock" range and I have used these on several of my motorcycles.

Great quality bit of kit. Love the way it keeps all parts of the fake tank on the GT including the bag when fitted. Worth the money.

It does what you would expect. Fits to the 'fake tank' effortlessly and sleeker than I expected. It will take any Givi bag with the tank lock system.
I prefer using the tank bag system than wearing a rucksack. It does not get in the way of the dials and looks better than you can imagine.

Took a chance

The fitting kit was listed for the F800GT /R but not the F800ST(2008). I took a chance and ordered the kit and it was a perfect fit. I had asked at the NEC but the Givi guys offered no advice.

Easy to fit and use

I use a magnetic tank bag on other bikes but obviously that's not an option with the F800 GT's plastic tank. Now I've used it I think I do prefer the Tanklock kit as the bag sits slightly above the bike so there's no danger of any scratches. Lots of Givi tank bag options once you have this kit fitted and it's simple to do.
