Bought this hoping that it would fit the original luggage rack on my 2009 F800R as there was not a lot of info out there that it would even from Givi , just a lot of speculation that it might . Rest assured it fits. The service from SBS was the usual quick and helpful service we have come to expect so thank you for that .

Best price and service from SBS. Before starting, ensure that you have a size 45 torx to remove the two central BMW bolts from the BMW carrier.
Instructions are not great but there are not many parts so fairly quick and straightforward to fit. Liberal use of Loctite threadlock just to be sure. Whole rack seems bombproof.
Well made and worth the money.

Good quality bit of kit. Easy to fit and holds my top box with no movement at all. Once in place it does not spoil the looks of the bike. The one thing I do think is it is overpriced for what it is, (a plastic base and a split metal plate). But if you need it then you have to pay for it. Best price from Sportsbikeshop.

Though plate was simple to set up, it had more parts then I'd expected.

Installation took approximately 20mins.

Although my GIVI TRK2N sits firmly on it I have on a few occasions heard it slightly rattle when stationary.

You get all the fittings you need to attach the plate to your specific bike and over the existing rack. So this was a special order item.

The instructions from Givi are not the most helpful but take your time and figure it out methodically. There are 2 plates that fit onto the rack and attach it firmly to the bike. The Givi plate for your Monokey system bolts on top of that. The Monokey top box just locks into place with one reassuring click. I have a Kappa topbox - again from Sportsbikeshop. Brilliant service, price matching and help. I've bought about six items of kit for the bike in the last few months. I generally see what everyone has on offer and then buy it at Sportsbikeshop.

In my view this is essential if you plan on touring / camping with the F800GT as the BMW case is inadequate. The plate fits easily and neatly and is well thought out with plastic protection and foam padding to prevent damage to the BMW rack. Good solid construction.
