Great Sound & Looks

This is an excellent addition to my bike. It looks great and sounds amazing especially with the baffle out(a real headturner). It was very easy to fit and no remapping required. My overall shopping experience with Sportsbikeshop was great and I would highly recommend them to anyone. The exhaust came when stated with good communication and was very well packaged and presented.

I chose this Scorpion over an Akrapovic as the cost was just way too much to justify for the Akra. This Scorpion is also the only other exhaust I know of other than the Akra that doesn't require any remapping of the ECU to iron out any performance or fuelling issues. I'd heard lots of good things already about the Scorpion but no Youtube video can really do the sound of the exhaust any justice until you hear it in real life. The fitting instructions leave a lot to be desired frankly, especially if you don't do a lot of mechanical work but YouTube comes in handy here To fill in the blanks. I took my time fitting it over a couple of days as I wasn't in a rush (plus I took the opportunity to replace the engine studs for stainless ones). I'd recommend buying a new set of gaskets if you're going through the efforts to replace the whole system too. The Scorpion parts are packaged really well and are clearly of high quality. The only thing missing is a tool to fit the springs but luckily I had one from the kids trampoline I kept just in case, otherwise this might have been a bit tricky! Once all fitted and finished, I took run a good 90 minute run and the pipes have turned a lovely straw colour. Overall, a great mod to your MT09 if you want a more guttural, meaty sound over the stock exhaust, without breaking the bank.

Ridiculous sound

I am really happy with my purchase of this exhaust system! Sound is top of the line and its a very smart system cause of the 2 db-killers. One is in the muffler and the other one is in the connecting pipe. It was really easy to install and fitment is perfect. I love the 'farting' when I use the quickshifter without any db-killers in.

Does this system require the removal of centre stand on 2017 MT-09 Tracer or can stand be left on.
May 30, 2018If you are fitting the standard MT-09 system then you will need to remove the centre stand. Scorpion do a specific exhaust for the MT-09 Tracer which allows you to leave this on.
