Ionic NRG enables the rider to engage the gears without using the clutch and whilst the throttle is completely open. The result for the rider is extremely short shift times. The sensor can be easily installed on the gearbox lever or pattern rod and it is directly connected to the small central unit that can be easily installed and adjusted.

The dynamic engine RPM management is based on a software algorithm which automatically adjusts the cut-off time, this allows to optimum smoothness at low revs with maximum precision and shifting speed at high revs. The system inhibits the intervention below 3000 RPM (value adjustable by user) to avoid undesired engine stopping in low speed or idle maneuvers. The new Dynamic NRG sensor is protected by Starlane with 2 PCT international patents. Ionic NRG uses the new sensor, which is the result of Starlane's 13-year experience in conceiving and accomplishing solutions intended to detect the shift of gears. This has induced important Italian motorcycle industries such as teams in the World Superbike Championship to use Starlane
shift sensors on their own official motorbikes.

HOW IT WORKS:

During a gear shift the lever is subject to the energy of the riders action. The sensor constantly conveys the energy of the stress it is subjected to the central unit that will power off the engine for typically 40-50 milliseconds after having reached the value set up by the user. The short power off time is enough to engage the gears while keeping the throttle completely open without having to engage the clutch.
