Not too hard to fit once you get past the poor instructions. Best to look online for guidance.
Agree with another that the crossbar needs to be a bit lower to avoid the reg plate.
I found it much easier just to take off the muffler rather than work around it.

Pain to fit but seems to function well

Loses a point for the rubbish Italian instructions with crap pictures. Also should come with a big warning telling you not to tighten everything up until you have the cross bar fitted. Apart from that, all good. Fitted and tested up and above motorway speeds with no issues. I didn't bother fitting the indicator extenders. They seem to serve no purpose.

Easy to fit on my BMW 1200GS (don't forget to heat the threadlock to remove the bolts on the bike). The only problem I have found is the crossbar between the two sides at the back fouls the number plate. There was a delay with getting stock but SBS kept me well informed!

Took a little while to get as out of stock, but SBS kept me informed of progress. Easy to follow instructions, well made, look great once boxes are on. Hardest thing was getting the oem bolts out ! BMW use very good thread lock.

I gave it average as a rating but Sportsbikeshop can do better than this! Used them many times in the past, but Givi delivery estimates are a joke.
This I received damaged perhaps because it was sent in a poly bag not boxed. 15 scratches and chips in the paint I had repaired, I had the choice to reject or have a credit, I did take the credit due to delivery estimates. The credit was wrong first time.
Final product OK after the repairs. Pain in the backside to fit due to BMW thread lock on the bolts. Does come out wider than I would like for filtering 50mm wider than the handle bars. I like the speed of mounting & removal with the Cams.

The rugged 18mm Monokey Cam-Side frames are designed to be compatible with the CAM fitting system, featured on the Trekker Outback series of hard cases, using four anchor points as opposed to the usual three. Rubber supports between the case and frame ensure the best load stability.
The Givi Trekker Outback range of hard cases is the ideal choice for the serious adventurer/tourer. Available in two sizes, 37ltr and 48ltr, it is possible to combine different sizes on the same bike to take into account the asymmetry created by single side exhausts. They can be bought singly either left or right, or as a single size pair comprising both left and right. Their construction is as rugged as the environments they are designed for, having 1.5mm thick aluminium with dual internal reinforcement and reinforced techno-polymer inserts. The die-cast aluminium latching system securely holds the waterproof, rubber sealed lid which can be either hinged or fully removed for ease.

January 19, 2023This is compatible with the R1250GS Adventure from 2019 - 2022 inclusive.
Does this frame also fit the Dolomiti range from Givi
March 26, 2018Unfortunately not, Givi do not list a fitment for the Dolomiti cases on the GS.
