Givi SRA693 Monokey Aluminium Adaptor Plate - BMW K1200 / 1300 GT

This is a quality looking piece of kit that bolts directly to the existing rear rack. I found that the supplied screws were too long for the application and needed to be shortened by 5mm. The screws supplied are hex key type, and one of the heads stripped when tightening, obviously soft. I have subsequently replaced all of the supplied screws with A2 Torx type, of the correct length. Also when the plate was fitted I could not get the Givi box I bought at the same time to engage in the locking mechanism. I ended up having to shave 1mm off of the 2 rear rubber pads, after which the box now locks in directly. The box is limited to 6kg capacity using this rack, so you will need to bear that in mind if considering buying.
